Michael
Freddy Rincon, one of Colombia's best ever footballers has sadly died because of head injuries that he sustained as a result of a car accident. Rincon was an iconic figure in Colombia and he was a key player for Colombia at the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups. Rincon played for Colombia 84 times scoring 17 goals in the process, with his last goal coming against Scotland in a friendly played in 1998. He played for Real Madrid, Napoli, Parma, Santos and Corinthians among other clubs during his playing career. Rincon is another player who has died way too early because of a tragic car accident. The football community has sadly lost another great player from the past and he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P.
