But the gossip & rumour around Villa for some time has been they need a proper CDM. McGinn is more about getting forward, or being box-to-box. Douglas Luiz is also thought to not really be an outright number 6. So the thought has been around for some time that a midfielder is needed. And perhaps that Ramsey might be pushed more into the battle for match time with Coutinho & Buendia more so than in a strengthened midfield 3.
