Sinisa Mihajlovic Passes Away Aged 53

Great football player, but a very not so great guy off the pitch, well sometimes not so great guy on the pitch as well. Bit of a fascist as well. Still, fuck cancer though.

So sad, he died so young. Apparently, Mihajlovic announced in 2019 that he was diagnosed with leukemia. I must have either not seen this news or forgotten about it. But his death has come as a bit of a shock to me. Mihajlovic was arguably one of the best direct free-kick takers in football history. His goals from free-kicks were a regular occurrence. Mihajlovic courted a lot of controversy off the pitch though, as he had a strong friendship with Serbian warlord Arkan. Nonetheless, he was one of Serbia's most influential footballers and personalities, he will be missed, especially by Serbs.
