Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2023 Fernandes should be hitting the target there.
OrangeKhrush Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Pep Guardiola's pre game is on, just replace "italians" with "Haaland".

Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2023 Has Haaland even had a touch yet?

I remember when the Football Terrace were talking about how Haaland was actually going to harm City more due to them becoming one dimensional. He is a great finisher and predator but i would take Yaya, Silva and Aguero as being the scariest mf'ers ever to play against, just seeing them on the field you knew you were in for a pounding.

OrangeKhrush Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Man United's back line looks very comfortable

Yep, we had the same issue with Ruud. Everything was geared towards him, if he didn't score we struggled. We lost fluency and interchange of movement. But people will only look at the stats and numbers instead of the team overall. Haaland brace incoming
Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2023 Fred is doing quite well. Keeping De Bruyne quiet. He and Casemiro quite a defensive midfield partnership.

OrangeKhrush Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Pep has definitely worked on Haaland coming deeper than normal, maybe that was his "something special" that he had in store.
Moderator Tommy Posted January 14, 2023 Moderator Posted January 14, 2023 Rashford has to do better here. The goal was empty.

Yeah actually I've seen the replay and it's only one player on the line. Not open goal, but definitely should score. I thought Ake was further back on the line.
OrangeKhrush Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Rashford did a bit of an Almiron there, did all the hard work only to make the wrong final decision or execution wasn't good. I think it is safe to say that City are not comfortable here at all, and that high line is screaming trouble.
OrangeKhrush Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 While the stats optics suggest city are controlling it, I feel Man United have edged the better play here, they have had a few chances and in general have looked comfortable.
Administrator Stan Posted January 14, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 14, 2023 Utd have had the better of the play I'd say, and the better chances. You can tell why Ten Hag wanted Weghorst, though. Martial seems to either break a move down or is a tad too slow. Weghorst seems to be the player he wanted to hold things up a bit better and create better opportunities to support Rashford/Fernandes.
