Carnivore Chris Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 The round of 16 games. All La Liga teams left other than Sporting de Gijón, who'll face Valencia, Ceuta, who will take on Barcelona and Alavés, who face Sevilla. Literally anyone could win this with the new format,.as we've seen in recent additions. Real Sociedad, Valencia and Real Betis haven all won it in the last 3 seasons and you wouldn't bet against Real Sociedad or Real Betis doing it again considering their form. Villarreal also can't be ruled out and Sevilla and Atlético will be looking for something to salvaje their season after being in such poor form in LaLiga.
Administrator Stan Posted January 15, 2023 Administrator Posted January 15, 2023 @Carnivore Chris what's the new format, and the difference?

Carnivore Chris Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 Real Sociedad and Sevilla through after both winning their respective games 1-0 last night.
Carnivore Chris Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 Sporting de Gijón 0-4 Valencia No surprises then yet thus far @Coma Hopefully Villarreal can take advantage of Madrid's bad form tomorrow.
Carnivore Chris Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 Athletic Club de Bilbao 1-0 Espanyol Levante 0-2 Atlético de Madrid Real Betis are currently beating Osasuna 2-1 in extra time.

Carnivore Chris Posted January 19, 2023 Author Posted January 19, 2023 Ceuta 0-4 Barça as it stands with 5 mins to go. Villarreal 2-0 Real Madrid going into half time.

Subscriber Coma+ Posted January 20, 2023 Subscriber Posted January 20, 2023 Just noticed Betis are out to Osasuna. So we'll have a new champion this year.
Administrator Stan Posted January 20, 2023 Administrator Posted January 20, 2023 Madrid Derby in the next round Barcelona vs Real Sociedad Osasuna vs Sevilla Valencia vs Athletic Bilbao Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid
Carnivore Chris Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 Barcelona 1-0 Real Sociedad. Dembele. Very difficult and tight game. Ter Stegen has been class this season and Barça finally have a defence that he deserves in front of him again.
Administrator Stan Posted January 25, 2023 Administrator Posted January 25, 2023 Osasuna into the semis too. They beat Sevilla after extra time.

Subscriber Coma+ Posted January 26, 2023 Subscriber Posted January 26, 2023 This may be Valencia's only shot at glory again this season. They beat Athletic over 2 legs in the semis last year and they seem to play better in the cup. Their league form is indicative of a relegation candidate.
Carnivore Chris Posted January 30, 2023 Author Posted January 30, 2023 Osasuna vs Athletic Bilbao Real Madrid vs Barcelona They are the semis, which will be played over two legs this time, since they still have 2 legs for the semis.
Eco Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Time to get excited about the first leg of the semis this week. Barcelona look to be without Lewy, as he suffered some kind of muscle discomfort against Almeria. https://www.football-espana.net/2023/02/27/barcelona-suffer-major-blow-as-robert-lewandowski-injury-threatens-real-madrid-tie So a Barca without Lewy and Pedri, is going to be a team that Real Madrid will feel much better about beating. This is really the first time all season Barcelona have looked vulnerable.
Eco Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Osasuna defeated Athletic Bilbao 1-0. Real Madrid vs Barcelona is tomorrow.
