Here's a overview of payments from "Nachwuchsfördertopf" (youth funding pot) from  3.Liga season 22/23. Second teams are excluded from the payments. Bit surprising we're in the top 5 receiving clubs for giving German U21 players pitch time, since we had not only the league's oldest squad, but also the oldest of all teams on the pitch on most matchdays.o.O

Good win for FCS at the weekend @Rucksackfranzose.  And I see 1860 are fucking up again.  There are a mash of clubs right there behind Dresden but there are no standouts yet.  Unterhaching and Ulm are doing well after being promoted.

Interesting matchup this weekend with Unterhaching at home against FCS.

Small correction, next weekend, this weekend is that dull International break.¬¬ Annoying since we were beginning to gel the last 2 matches.

Ah yes, the stupid international break.  Funny the difference between countries who observe the international break and those that don't.  Spain's 2nd league doesn't stop for international breaks so they are on next weekend.

To be fair, most regional federations don't stop for the International break, but for Landespokal matches. It's just  FCS got a bye in Saarlandpokal til the round of 32 as 3.Liga club.

KFC Uerdingen had 4 insolvency proceedings recently, although they had three different consecutive investor, albeit all of them shady, during that period. Now the fifth insolvency proceeding within 10 years is looming. They weren't able to pay the Berufsgenossenschafts bill for the year 2022 and they couldn't do required advance payments for this year as well. Allegedly they owe Berufsgenossenschaft a sum in mid-six figures. Has to be said they've apparentely learned their lesson- they want to rescue the club without the help of yet another investor, to save their honor.

Crazy that a 5th division club can owe hundreds of thousands of euros to anyone.  Surely this is all legacy cost that has accumulated over the years?

Well, that's what you get when you dance with the devil. That one Russian investor, Ponomarev, was also involved with our local ice hockey team at some point. He later became an investor at Krefeld's ice hockey team, and well, they're in the 2nd league now.

Probably yes, and if these colported sums are correct and indeed only Berufsgenossenschaft than 100% yes.

Is that the German version of worker's compensation?  We might have had this discussion before.  It sounds vaguely familiar.

It's a professional association that includes the German equivalent to a worker's compensation board, yet has also preventive tasks.

That's worrying, will be an intriguing investigation.

http://www.kicker.de/verdacht-auf-wettmanipulation-zwischen-fsv-frankfurt-und-steinbach-haiger-974252/artikel

Short summary: A RL Südwest (4th tier) game is investigated for match fixing. Bookies informed the BMI Plattform, the board for investigating betting manipulations, of striking betting behaviour regarding the FSV Frankfurt vs Steinbach- an unusual  high amount of bets in significant sums would have been betted on Steinbach winning the first half, which they indeed did by 2-0. On the other hand, those goals were scored after individual mistakes that happen commonly even in better leagues. The presumably injured party (FSV Frankfurt) answered a relevent request with the message they wouldn't have been informed of inquiry, yet.
