Michael
St. Pauli have drawn their last 3 league matches 0-0 against Dusseldorf, Greuther Furth and Magdeburg respectively. They clearly have some scoring issues, even though their defence evidently looks pretty tight. So it's not too surprising then, that in today's 2.Bundesliga match against Eintracht Braunschweig, St. Pauli are currently drawing 0-0 with them at half-time. Maybe they need to give the creative Scott Banks more playing time, so he can help create some goals for them.
Moderator Tommy Posted September 1, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 1, 2023 I'm very happy with our performance today. Karlsruhe scored in the 3rd minute, but that was more of a fluke goal. But we looked like the better team throughout the match. Our midfield looks absolutely brilliant with Johanesson, Engelhardt and Appelkamp. Tzolis scored an absolute beauty, and Düsseldorf born and raised Jamil Siebert also had an absolute fantastic game! I'm optimistic that we'll play a very good season, if we get spared from serious injuries, as our squad is not exactly big.
Michael
It's an absolutely crazy match in Magdeburg, as Magdeburg currently lead Hertha Berlin 5-4, with 22 minutes of the match still to play. Hertha Berlin have lead 4 times during this match, but it is now Magdeburg who are in the lead. It's been a really exciting match to watch. Moderator Tommy Posted September 2, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 2, 2023 Hertha took the lead four times, and now it looks like they might end up with nothing.

Yep, that's what I said earlier and Magdeburg have scored a 6th goal. It's now 6-4 to Magdeburg, incredible match!
Moderator Tommy Posted September 2, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 2, 2023 And Schalke gave away a win in the 95th minute. Not a good day for the Bundesliga relegated teams.
Rucksackfranzose
Today I learned Hertha BSC wrote league statitics history by being the first team ever to lead four times (1-0, 2-1, 3-2, and 4-3) and yet to lose the match (4-6 final result). So, when Hertha said they were going to write history, they didn't lie.
Moderator Tommy Posted September 2, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 2, 2023 Kaiserslautern leading 3-1 vs. Nürnberg with just a few minutes to go. Really solid start to their season. Ragner Ache also proves to be a useful signing for them, which hurts a bit because we were rumoured to be interested in him as well, and I really wanted him at Fortuna.
