I, for one, am shocked and surprised that F1's latest foray into becoming even more commercialised has so far been an absolute shambles.

You're hosting a motor race. All that time and money put into the light shows and opening ceremonies and Netflix specials for this Grand Prix could have gone into actually ensuring the track was fit for purpose.

I'm actually glad that they've totally embarrassed themselves so far and I hope the race is shite, which it will be because all of the overtaking is going to happen down that ridiculously long straight which is so wide and long that it's going to be impossible to defend in any way, meaning that nobody will try moves elsewhere in the track, and any faster drivers will just follow the car in front for a lap before driving past (I'm not calling it overtaking) them on that back straight.

At least Miami, Saudi Arabia and the other commercially-driven events have managed to put on a competent show. F1 deserves this shambles though for the way they've been running the show in recent years. The fans who have paid to go and see a Grand Prix (a fucking lot in this case) deserve their money back.

Yeah fair play to those who predicted the Leclerc pole, especially @MUFC who waited until after FP3 to make his predictions at what must have been about 5:30am for him xD. Commitment that.

Being honest there was nothing gained from p3 results as it was shortened. So I decided my predictions from what happened in P3.

Oh Tommy.

Oh Nudge.

We're used to track temperatures of 45 degrees. This weekend it's been round 15 degrees. It might make the race interesting with the unexpected.

Fuck it, I've set my alarm for 4.00am. It starts at 6.00am but I'll have a coffee and a few muffins on my cheat day Sunday.
