Administrator Stan Posted August 23 Administrator Share Posted August 23 Not being funny, and perhaps it comes from a position of envy, but how do Liverpool command such big fees for fringe players?!

He's just off the back of a pretty decent season in the Bundesliga with their current champions interested in him. I actually think it's mental that in a bidding war with Leverkusen, Brentford came out on top because Leverkusen would have to sell a defender before they could buy another one. Looking at our backline depth and the number of injury prone players we have, with the possibility of needing to replace our best defender at the end of the season, I do wonder if we're going to regret letting him go tbh. He never really truly got a fair shake with us so I've got no idea if he can make the step up to being a squad player/possible regular for us. 6666
These clubs that give Liverpool these fees deserve relegation.
