Administrator Stan Posted August 15 Author Administrator Posted August 15 We're a bit of a joke club these days. Can't close out this deal and apparently now Hoffenheim are looking to sign him instead. Quote

Michael Posted August 16 Posted August 16 According to reports, 22 year old Czech international Adam Hlozek's transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Hoffenheim is now imminent. A transfer fee of €17-€18 million has apparently been agreed. If this deal does go through, it will mean that Hoffenheim have hijacked Leicester City for the signature of Hlozek. Leicester City had reportedly agreed a loan deal for Hlozek this season, with an obligation to buy Hlozek next summer for €20 million. But it now seems likely that Hlozek will instead be heading to Hoffenheim. Hoffenheim have plenty of money to spend, having recently sold Maximilian Beier to Dortmund for €31 million and receiving a €4.2 million sell-on fee, from Rutter's recent transfer from Leeds United to Brighton. Hlozek, who played for the Czech national team at Euro 2024 and at Euro 2020, is an experienced player, despite his young age. Hlozek also won the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen last season, even though he was mainly used as a substitute. Although he did start 5 Bundesliga matches and score 2 goals in Leverkusen's Bundesliga winning campaign. On joining Hoffenheim, it's likely that Hlozek will be starting many more matches at Hoffenheim than he did at Leverkusen. He will be able to show his talent on a regular basis at Hoffenheim with more playing time. It seems like Hoffenheim have made an astute signing, if this Hlozek deal does go through.
