What happened to Norris on his last run?

Backed out but no idea why. Wondering if he made a mistake or his sectors weren't good. If he keeps second off the start or takes Piastri. Either way, Piastri will be playing the team game.

McLaren went for an unusual strategy and did 2 push laps total on their softs, so it was probably more tricky to get performance out of them on the second run and for whatever reason Piastri was able to get more out of the tires at that point.

McLaren did their best to fuck this race up but got bailed out by a lucky VSC.

They're lucky they have such a quick car and strong driver line-up because their pitwall is not even close to being the best.

Cue the conspiracy theories from the Max fan accounts on Twitter who have spent the last day going "hmm errm ackshually kinda weird the timing of the VSC waiting until after McLaren swapped their cars". I'm sure race control deliberately waited for enough cars to finish their laps this time to knock Max out before throwing the red flag.

That's the sort of act of god Norris has needed to go in his favour to have a chance of winning the title. He has to capitalise here.
