Dave
The Spanish soccer federation has extended the contract of national team coach Julen Lopetegui until 2020. The announcement was made on Tuesday, less than a week before Spain begins their preparations for next month's World Cup in Russia.
SirBalon
Well based on what he’s provided uptil now, no other outcome could’ve occurred other than a renewal. He’s brought back confidence and has seamlessly pulled the team through the transition. He’s deserved the renewal and the players love him apparently. 6666
Sacked a day before the World Cup for taking the Real Madrid job. Exciting.

This was the reason why the press conference was delayed over an hour. What was and what now is are two opposing things which is why now there are polarised sentiments toward Lopetegui. As for Real Madrid... It reafirms everything I’ve always said about them. They were desperate and their nature surfaced to the top. That’s how they’ve always been! Real Madrid will be the enemy of the country but the sole blame should be with the coach as well, he should of waited after the world cup considering he only renewed his contract with the national team less then a month ago. Very naive.
