As soon as he said that they were English, retired, over 30 and hadn't won the 3 grand slams mentioned, it was Henman and Rusedski's names that came to mind. They were the two top English players of the 2000's.

Yes, he was born in Canada, had a Polish/Ukrainian father, but his mum was English, so he was British due to his mum.
