Eco
Quote Report: Samp sold for €140m Massimo Ferrero has reportedly sold Sampdoria to a consortium led by Gianluca Vialli for €140m. According to Il Secolo XIX, Ferrero made the revelation to his fellow Serie A Presidents during a meeting at the League’s offices on Saturday. “I sold Sampdoria for €140m,” he is quoted as telling them. The film producer would have negotiated a sale to Vialli and his group of investors, which includes Jamie Dinan and Alex Knaster. Gazzetta dello Sport has since validated the newspaper’s story, claiming that a deal is ready to be finalised. The Blucerchiati have been busy in the summer transfer window but have not done any business since signing Jeison Murillo two weeks ago.
