MUFC
Lewis needs to get his head down and chase Vettel down rather than fucking moaning.
Moderator Tommy Posted September 1, 2019 Moderator Share Posted September 1, 2019 Good to see Charles win, but it's a shame that he can't fully enjoy it under the circumstances.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 1, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted September 1, 2019 Sort of half paid attention to this while I watched Everton. Pretty straightforward after the early safety car. Vettel unlucky with the strategy as if he followed the same as Leclerc and the Mercedes he definitely seemed to have the measure of Bottas and may well have held Hamilton off for 2nd. Norris misses out on 5th with a last lap retirement which sucks. Haas are still a travesty. They were 6th and 7th after the safety car and ended up nowhere. Decent race from Albon to get through to 5th after struggling to overtake at the start. Perez with a much needed haul of points for Racing Point. Subscriber nudge+ Posted September 1, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted September 1, 2019 Was watching Werder and the race at the same time so didn't have much time to focus on either. Disappointed with Max being out in Lap 1 already; poor start with a wheel spin again and then probably too optimistic going into the first corner. Kimi was fighting with Perez and there was just no space at all... the race ruined for both of them there. In the hindsight it would have been worth taking the new PU and the penalty with it; now with no points here in Spa and starting at the back of the grid in Monza next week the gap between Max and Bottas will only grow. Albon did a good job, starting P17 and finishing P5 even if that was with the help of a few incidents and Norris' engine failure on the last lap. Started somewhat cautiously as he said he wasn't very comfortable with controlling the car and getting mediums up to temperature at the start of the race, but it got much better as he got used to it and especially after he pitted and got the softs for his second stint. Some ballsy overtakes there as well; especially the one against Ricciardo and then Perez on the last lap just before the finish line with his wheels on the grass I must say I was delighted and positively surprised with Honda today in general - the race pace was very good, gained 28 positions in total between the three of them and all three cars finished in the points. Very admirable that here have been zero reliability issues so far as well whereas all other manufacturers suffered many. Heartbreaking for Lando and Giovinazzi. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 1, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted September 1, 2019 @nudge I believe I saw a graphic somewhere that Albon had the top speed in the speed trap with Gasly and Kvyat close behind .
