  1. Boehly stepped down from day-to-day operations back in November of 2022 despite the media's weird obsession to include him in virtually everything. The co-directors Winstanley and Stewart have been in charge since with the backing of Eghbali (Clearlake founder). Ownership want a model/operation method similar to Red Bull, as they believe it to be sustainable. Which is true in essence, but this is the Premier League, and the directors are bringing in far too many inexperienced players all at once which reflects on the pitch. Some of the players, like Mudryk and Madueke, I refuse to believe any analytics showed them having world class potential. They look like mid table/bottom half footballers and they are the ones called upon when Sterling is being Sterling. I still believe, squad wise, we should be where United and Spurs are. This is where I have little sympathy for Poch as we are now 7 months in and this group still looks like they were handpicked yesterday and asked to play together.
  2. Why is Gallagher 3rd captain? Why is Reece James who averages only 3 matches before injury since 2021 our primary captain? I understand the sense of identity and building a foundation around an English core, but when these players are either bang average or not fit half the time, what's the point? Poch really hasn't adapted his football and it's left me incredibly disappointed. Wolves had one game plan, and mind you this game plan wouldn't work against any of the other 18 clubs in the Premier League. We play a high line so lob it behind Chilwell so a 40 year old Thiago Silva gets dragged out wide. Simples. This type of management from Poch you'd expect from Lampard. Our midfield is non-exsistent and gets cut through like swiss cheese. Squad wise, we spent this much money and we still need to fix our entire left side, we need a ST, probably another winger, and definitely another CB.
  3. Only 750k. Rises to 4m if there are penalties (not achieving the required appearances).
  4. We need to follow Arsenal's footsteps like with sacking the bloke responsible for Pepe. Sack the bloke responsible for Mudryk and Madueke.
  5. Off to Fulham on loan. No buy option. Really don't understand this football club. Why are we heading into the second half of the season with only 1 striker?
  6. No away from home this team is pitiful and I don't think it'll be any different unless serious changes are made. Poch on a short contract looking more and more of a blessing. What we saw last night defined everything wrong with Clearlake. Big money spending with nothing to show for it.
  7. Was a poor game from him but he's easily been our player of the season and the best signing we've made in ages. Not going to put a lot of fault on him yesterday when he's carried the team all season. (Likely to end the season with Lampard esq numbers) We are such a disjointed mess of a team. 7 months in players still haven't a clue in how to play. Caicedo in isolation with the other two midfielders nowhere to be seen is peak Lampard management. Expected far better from Poch.
  8. Sterling pocketed by a 20 year old and was forced to switch sides the second half as a result, whilst that same 20 year old fled past him to score against him. £325kpw.
  9. I question De Zerbi's actual ambition as a manager. I don't think he'd particularly want a big move as of now.
  10. I'd be worried if he was in contention. Recently stated he does not care about winning trophies, rather improving players.
  11. No not at all. De Zerbi is very much like Sarri/Bielsa where he loves circuit football. It's a compact system where each movement is carefully orchestrated, , always looking at the progressive option. It's the very reason Brighton have looked so much better but it'll come at a cost as managers like De Zerbi don't believe in changing their philosophy. The one thing De Zerbi will always have over Potter, is that he puts his best finishers up top...
  12. Appears Edwards has rejected Liverpool's advances.
  13. Heard Brentford found underlying issues with his Knee.
  14. I am curious to see what adventure lies next for both he and Pep. Hope both manage in Italy.
  15. Aren't TAA, Van Dijk, and Salah all on 18 months remaining?
  16. Villas Boas was a very ignorant manager though. Probably why he hasn't revived his career.
  17. The year is 2023 and Chelsea football club are still crying out for a striker.
  18. Won the treble actually and went undefeated in the league. Went to a club that carried a lot of pressure, shat the bed. If Liverpool are willing to take the risk, go for it. Not convinced of DeZerbi either.
  19. Too early for Alonso. Unsure if he's the real deal or another Villas-Boas.
