Salvatore Schillaci, the 1990 World Cup leading scorer has sadly died aged 59. Schillaci was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2022 and he has now sadly lost his battle for life to the disease. Schillaci, also known as 'Toto' Schillaci, was an iconic figure of the 1990 World Cup, a tournament that Italy hosted and where the diminutive forward would end up as the leading scorer of the competition. Italy would make the semi-finals of Italia 90, eventually losing to Argentina on penalties. Despite his 6 goals at Italia 90, Schillaci would end up playing only 16 times for the Italian national team throughout his entire international career, and he would only score a total of 7 international goals for Italy(which included the 6 he scored at Italia 90). At club level, Schillaci would play for Juventus and Inter Milan, after starting his club career at hometown club Messina. Towards the end of his footballing career, he had a spell in Japan, with club side Jubilo Iwata. Schillaci will however always be remembered for his exploits at the 1990 World Cup in Italy. I didn't realise that he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2022, before reading today's sad news and the details of his death. It's another sad death of a player who was an iconic figure of a World Cup. It's sad to hear another famous footballer has passed away so early. R.I.P. Well it was a superb result for Bayern Munich today! They absolutely outclassed and blitzkrieged the Croatian Champions off the park this evening! Apart from a couple or so minutes right at the start of the 2nd half, it was complete Bayern domination! Bayern were superb and taught an experienced Dinamo Zagreb side a lesson in football today. It's not often we see a 9-2 thrashing in the Champions League and it is a result that Dinamo Zagreb will want to quickly forget. For Bayern, it still shows that their attacking abilities are top class and they are going to be a match for anyone in this years Champions League. Bayern Munich 9-2 Dinamo Zagreb

Olise scores Bayern's 5th goal and his 2nd goal of the match, as Musiala rounded the Zagreb keeper and the ball was set up for Olise to tuck the ball into the net. Bayern are rampant here, they have totally dominated and have even had 3 goals disallowed for offside in this match. Bayern Munich 5-2 Dinamo Zagreb

Bayern score to extend their lead as Kane scores his 2nd goal and Bayern's 4th goal! Kane tapped home the rebound as Kimmich's powerful shot could only be blocked by the Dinamo Zagreb keeper into the path of Kane, who made no mistake in putting the ball into the back of the net! Bayern Munich 4-2 Dinamo Zagreb

Dinamo Zagreb pull a goal back right at the start of the 2nd half through an opportunist Petkovic goal! Then Ogiwara was put through on goal 2 minutes later as he slotted the ball through the sub keeper Ulreich's legs and into the net to score Zagreb's 2nd goal! What a start to the 2nd half by Dinamo Zagreb! Bayern Munich 3-2 Dinamo Zagreb
