He's Irish Gypsy, not Romani. Either way, even the Irish were looked down in the past by white supremacists. Back to important matters, what a performance that was from Tyson Fury, he outclassed Wilder with his movement and his combos. Excellent class performance. Wilder could never properly land his big right hook. Honestly, I think that Fury would beat Joshua, I don't see how Joshua could beat Fury. Joshua is a great boxer, but I don't think he has the tools to beat Fury.
  2. I understand your concern and completely empathize with your sentiments. To be honest, having had a 5 hour stopover in Istanbul, were I saw many people sneezing during that period, I can't help but get a little paranoid. The fact that it takes time for symptoms of the coronavirus to appear, is also worrying. It's bad enough if one has caught this virus, but if they have it(when they don't know that they have it) and they give it to their loved ones unwittingly, that must be the worse case scenario for many people. I am feeling fine, but I have sneezed a couple of times since my arrival. Touch wood everything is ok.

    Is teso the Haaland troll?
  4. I am currently in transit at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport waiting for my plane. There are loads of people wearing face masks, the only problem being, is that they are the type of face masks that are useless. Airports are actually not the best place to be at this moment in time, with the spread of this coronavirus, but I take solace from the fact that Turkey apparently has no cases of people carrying this virus.
  5. Manchester United are reportedly lining up a big money move for Wolverhampton Wanderers Portuguese winger Diogo Jota. Jota has been in excellent form this year, setting up many goals and scoring a total of 14 goals in all competitions this season. It is claimed that Manchester United are preparing a £50 million offer for Jota this summer. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/jota-man-utd-transfer-news-17798881 https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1245996/Man-Utd-news-50m-bid-Wolves-Diogo-Jota-transfer-gossip-rumours-latest
  6. The number of Coronavirus cases have reportedly more than doubled in one day in South Korea. Apparently officials have said that there have been 229 new cases confirmed since Friday! The total number of Coronavirus cases in South Korea is said to now stand at 433. This news seems pretty frightening for those living in South Korea. Especially as South Korea is a country which has a land mass that is less than half the size of the UK, but a relatively high population of over 50 million people. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-51596665
  7. https://acmilan.theoffside.com/2020/2/19/21142616/ac-milan-missing-purchase-option-on-loan-star-ante-rebic-acmilan-news-transfers-andre-silva Rebic is currently on fire at AC Milan and he has scored some important goals for them recently. With his loan stay at AC Milan set to end during the summer of 2021, it will be intriguing to see what agreement Frankfurt and AC Milan come to at that stage, regarding Rebic and Andre Silva. Similarly, Andre Silva will have his loan spell at Frankfurt end in the summer of 2021. Will Frankfurt and AC Milan do a straight swap deal, so that Rebic joins AC Milan permanently and Andre Silva joins Frankfurt permanently, or will they return to their parent clubs for the long term? Personally, as a Frankfurt supporter, I wouldn't mind either of them as they are both class acts on their day. I am not surprised that Rebic is shining at Milan right now, because he was great when he played for us. Equally, Andre Silva has also really started to settle in at Frankfurt and he is now showing the kind of performances that are expected from him. Conversely, Frankfurt sporting director Hubner has said that if Frankfurt sign Andre Silva permanently, that doesn't mean that Rebic will have to join AC Milan permanently. So there are several potential permutations, as to what can happen, regarding these two players and their futures. We shall have to wait and see what the outcome is with bated breath.
  8. Yes the big man and former champ showed too much sportsmanship. As a lot of those idiots in parliament could have done with getting knocked out by him! That's not to say that Klitschko is one of the best politicians out there, but you get my point.
  9. Hahaha...I think the traditional brawls in parliament(yes there have been that many!) are a cause of embarrassment to many of the more educated Ukrainians. Here are just a couple of clips for amusement sake, lol This is how Ukrainian Far Right and Far Left politicians deal with their disputes in Ukraine! Lyashko and Boyko at their finest!(Nooot!) Above, Avakov(Armenian) and Saakashvili(Georgian) play water games at a Ukrainian Government meeting!
  10. Syria is an absolute mess. If Aleppo has indeed been freed from Al Qaeda, then good riddance to those scumbags. But we should not forget how brutal Asad's Syrian regime has been to many of it's own citizens. Asad has just benefitted from the fact that scum like Al Qaeda and ISIS spread across to many parts of Syria. So the focus of the international community was to rid Syria of these Islamic fanatics. But the evil acts committed by these groups, does not negate the evil actions that Asad's own army have perpetrated. Asad and his regime should be made accountable for the atrocities that they have undertaken. The way they behaved towards many of the protestors at the start of the Syrian spring was unforgivable and they are still treating many of their own citizens with savagery and ruthlessness.
  11. Well some Ukrainian citizens didn't like the fact that people flown in from Wuhan, China, were going to be placed in their town. There were protests and riots as you can read from the following BBC report: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-51581805
  12. Yes, even if he's a fit young man and may not die, it's not worth the possibility of getting sick. Anyway, there's still a chance he could die if he caught it, even though he's probably as fit as a fiddle. Out of all the clubs he could of signed for, he chooses the epicentre of where the Coronavirus virus is located. The Coronavirus epidemic in Wuhan has now killed twice as many people as the SARS epidemic did back in 2003! That's something to really worry about in my book. I wouldn't personally risk going anywhere near that place right now, but maybe that's just me.
  13. WTF!!!! Has Daniel Carrico just signed his death warrant! What planet has this guy been living on in the past few weeks?
  14. The FA Cup game is in about two weeks time. The situation with the Atletico Madrid match is that Liverpool need to win by two goals. But when Atletico play at Anfield, they are just going to park the bus and look to counter on occasion when they see that Liverpool have left spaces at the back. One Atletico away goal and it will make Liverpool's task that much harder. I just hope that Liverpool score early, or at least in the first half as that will give them a lot of confidence when they seek the second goal in the second half. Atletico Madrid are such an annoying side to play against and they are the kind of team that do well in knock-out competitions because of their style of play. As I've mentioned before though, Dortmund did beat them 4-0 last season and Juventus beat them 3-0. So Liverpool should take some confidence in that fact. But it will take a big performance from Liverpool to deliver the result that they need.
  15. He's playing at Frankfurt and he's been pretty impressive recently after a slow start. He's a very talented forward and I am personally delighted he's playing with us. Jovic is a different type of player, I'd say that he is much more direct and more of a finisher. Although he has seemed to struggle since his move to Real Madrid. Andre Silva is supposed to be on loan with Frankfurt for next season as well. The deal was we took Silva on loan from Milan for 2 years, while Milan took Rebic on loan from Frankfurt for two years. At some point I am sure there will be an agreement as to who buys who. I think that eventually AC Milan will buy Rebic(he's actually doing very well there now) and Frankfurt will probably buy Silva. Anyway, we will have to wait and see what actually happens. Welcome to this forum by the way.
  16. I understand that resting players for too long can make a team lose momentum. But I think that Klopp is the best judge to see who is 100% fit and who is a little bit fatigued. I believe that those who are fatigued, should be rested in order to get the best out of them in the Champions League and the FA Cup. As winning the league is almost inevitable for Liverpool, I think that priority now should be focusing on the two knockout competitions that they are in. Imagine Liverpool winning the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup this season, that's actually something that is very possible if Klopp and Liverpool play their cards right.
  17. With Liverpool way ahead on points at the top of the Premier League, I think it's about time they started to prioritise the Champions League and their FA Cup ties. The league is practically sewn up, so I don't see why they don't rest a few key players in some of their league matches. Especially the league matches that take place just before the Champions League and FA Cup games.
  18. Do you live in the West Midlands? How come you support Koln?
  19. Ok, I see about Agu, at least they've secured the deal now, but they will have to avoid relegation without him. Still I think that Selke and Vogt can help do the job and keep Werder in the top tier. Yes, Werder have a lot of important players on loan and they will probably want to buy them on a permanent basis in the summer, so I see your point. It's similar to Frankfurt last season. We had many players on loan. So we decided to buy most of them on a permanent basis in the summer, but we sold 2 important strikers for big transfer fees and we loaned a 3rd forward out. Mykhaylychenko is a product of Dynamo Kyiv's youth system and he has been capped by Ukraine at various youth levels. But the 22 year old has played his best football yet in the league and he has been praised a lot by the sporting press in Ukraine for his improved performances. Obviously the Ukrainian league is much weaker than the German Bundesliga, but he does look very talented. Obviously he is not on the level of Augustinsson yet, but he could give Friedl a run for his money if he were to join Werder. Either way, Werder have more pressing matters right now and the fight for survival is what will be their main concern.
  20. Werder have made some very astute signings this January. Selke, Vogt and now Agu are all quality signings for Werder, considering their financial circumstances. But Selke in particular, was for me their best signing. A number of English Premier League clubs were after him and for Werder to beat them to his signature, was really a bit of a coup. I think Selke could be the difference in them staying up, adding that extra quality player to their attacking line should make a significant impact for them. He's just the type of tall, robust target man that they need and he's not lacking in skill either. There are also reports that Werder are after Ukrainian left-back Bohdan Mykhaylychenko of Zorya Luhansk. The youngster has really had a stand out season so far and his performances haven't gone unnoticed by other clubs. It is thought that Zorya's manager and ex-Werder Bremen player Viktor Skrypnyk will help negotiate a deal. Zorya are asking for 2 million euros for the sale of the young fullback.
  21. Yes, I knew this when the kid was first making headlines in Norway with Molde as a 17 year old. It's not surprising that he was born in Leeds as his dad of course played for Leeds United. But him being born in the UK means nothing. First of all, he clearly enjoys playing for Norway and that's where his heritage is from, so I doubt he ever wanted to represent England ahead of Norway, even if he could get British citizenship. But being born in England(the UK), doesn't automatically allow you to obtain British Citizenship. The UK(neither are other European countries) isn't like most South American and North American countries, where anyone can obtain citizenship if they are born in such countries. British Citizenship isn't a birthright, if you are a foreigner born in the UK anymore.

I understand what you mean, he's no Federer in terms of entertainment value. However, I still admire his resilience, tenacity and his power on the court and all that he has achieved. But Federer for me is the best player of the Nadal and Nole generation, in terms of his skill and his excellent shot variety. How he is still doing so well is testament to his natural talent. It's only injuries that hold him back even now, when he is fully fit, he is still a match for the elite players.
