Just watched it. You could have warned it was practically a really long squash match . Can't see him calling out CM Punk going anywhere but it would be epic if it was. Not sure what they do with Ospreay going in to Dominion.

I'm going to miss these two going at it.

Stans not clever bro.

Ballers was an easy watch. Can't say I was ever gripped by the storyline but easy background TV whilst working.

I know you're new here, but @Tommy isn't a great guy. Tsubusa however was a great guy. He worked with a kids, cared about the environment, he was like Mr Myagi if he supported Borussia Dortmund. People loved him. He was really liked. Then he morphed in to Tommy. Posting shit memes, shit gifs, talking about vibes and supporting a German team nobody cares about. Basically Tsubusa was a legend and Tommy is an absolute fuckstain that derails topics and dominates off topic conversations.

Mate, you need to talk to a professional. This place is a football forum and you perceive it as a poisonous environment. My advice would be to take a break or find a different environment to talk about South American football.

@Mpache Given you've compared yourself to Claude when you're well aware of what he's gone though after being blocked by somebody on Twitter yesterday I suggest now is a good time to take a time out. You're on the verge of annoying a lot of people that are being impartial to this situation.

To be fair I think everybody here thought it was a good signing until they saw him play in that first season.

In his defence he didn't exactly walk out. In his heart I think he wanted to stay. Especially after when we played you. He scored the winner, and after he slagged off Cabaye and others for their late tackles. That summer we activated his release clause and Roy Hodgson got sacked as England Manager which lost his guarantee of "I'll watch you in The Championship". It took him about eight months before he looked settled playing for us and I think that a combination of Pardew, not wanting the move and being told he's not a right sided player.

Andros Townsend linked with Newcastle United. I can 100% see this happening if Bruce stays. Regardless of what divison they're in. Id feel feel Andros if he went there under Bruce. I imagine he would get caught in the cross fire of being associated with the Talksport pundits who defend Bruce and he isn't the player he once was. Would ruin any fond memories the supporters have of him.

I believe the EPPP put an end to that.

Listened to Eric Bischoff "83 Weeks" this week. He talked about what his version of WCW would have looked like had his consortium bought the company in 2001. New logos, permanent stage in Las Vegas, new announcers, same creative team bar Russo and then a roster with Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Goldberg, Sting and Booker T. Plan A would be Goldberg as Champ, Plan B would be Hogan as Champ. He basically said yes to everybody bar Jeff Jarrett So basically, new appearance but same old product.

I imagine it's being billed as a "Peacock Exclusive" as opposed to a WWE exclusive. A bit like when CM Punk appeared on WWE Backstage but on FOX. I imagine he got his arse chewed with some of his drunk tweets last year but other than that I don't see what he has to be angry about.

I did laugh when I saw that. It used to be a running joke that he was the only person in the country with minus nectar loyalty points.

I don't know if there is something to it but when I think historically of players from the South that have relocated at a very young age to power houses up North they on general seem to struggle and find their feet elsewhere. Josh Buhui Brentford to Man United, Matty Virtue from Chelsea to Liverpool, Kevin Stewart from Spurs to Liverpool, Freddie Woodman from Palace to Newcastle. Obviously Harvey Elliot appears to be breaking the mould but he seems to be more the exception than the rule.

Man United fans in the comments acting like our under 18s aren't top of the league or they spent 50 million on one of our right backs in recent years
-
Yeah, completely agree. Attract a variety of fan bases. Hopefully now they're moving NXT to Tuesdays they'll consider it. By keeping a ceiling on AEW they were keeping a ceiling on themselves by losing potentially 700k live viewers a week.

Champions League Changes Set to be Confirmed from 2024
Dave replied to Smiley Culture's topic in UEFA Competitions
It's quite clear that the 15 or so clubs in favour of this proposal haven't consulted broadcasters or fans in regards to this. Who is going to want to watch PSG vs City, Bayern vs Barca, United vs Real Madrid in the league when its plainly obvious they'll all get through the first league stage? It's going to feel like pre season friendlies in Asia. When you consulted with United fans under Van Gaal, Liverpool fans under Rodgers, Arsenal fans at the minute and Chelsea fabs after Mourinho part II, none of them would have wanted to get in The Champions League on a technicality. They wanted there teams to get there on merit and it was up to the likes of Kroenke, Woodward and Abrahamovich to create a competitive structure to get them there. I imagine it's the same with powerhouses abroad too. It's quite clear the likes of Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are spoofed by how much they've fucked up seemingly indestructible empires to the stage where they're on the verge of having to enter a period like AC Milan have and the thought of that scares them. Losing to the likes of Brugge, Shaktar, Porto and struggling in their own domestic leagues has really spoofed them. They see teams like Leicester City emerging who are ran very well and have the financial advantage of being in the Premier League and it spoofs the shit out of them. One thing lockdown has emphasised to me is too much of anything is not a good thing. I thought a model whereby you could watch any Premier League game at any time was the future, but I find myself watching less football now than I used too just because its on all the time. Having 180 or so additional pointless European games isn't going to be any more of a turn on to anybody. Look at baseball in America, it's very rare you see a stadium close to full capacity because there's so many games on all the time. Football is in danger of heading the same way.
