    Work/Jobs Thread

I think 40%/60% split is fair for most businesses. Working from home definitely has its advantages, personally I find myself being more productive as I have no colleagues to converse with and it's definitely better from a mental health perspective not having to wake up at 4am/5am to commute every day and having the opportunity to have television/podcasts on in the background. That said working from home isn't very beneficial when you begin working for a new company, you haven't got the opportunity to learn from others and you haven't got the opportunity to build working relationships with colleagues. There's also the issue of whilst I may be more productive, I don't think that's the same for the majority of people. I don't know anybody that works for a company that thinks all their staff are working as hard as they can whilst being at home. From a supervision aspect it can spiral out of control very quickly.
  2. Ignoring his Liverpool ties over a decade ago, surely his tactical style is too negative for the direction Everton want to head in?

Cody licking his lips and the thought of somebody else to squash.
  4. Maybe you should try the same with your managers
  5. Palace fans already asking for Yannick Bolasie back I think he needs to continue the good work he's done with Neil Warnock at Middlesborough. Not sure where Joshua King goes from here? Everybody knows what he's capable but it's been 2+ years he's underperformed. Type of goal-shy player Brighton will sign and wonder why they're 50 goals below their xG.
  6. A bit of a revelation in episode two... He asked Manchester United if he could come back to us on loan because he wanted us to get promoted.
  7. Like Sunderland Til I Die but the opposite. A club expected to be in League One but ending up in the Premier League.
  8. Never thought the day would come when I'd cheer over Benteke signing a new contract. Interestingly, Andros Townsend said earlier this week that new contracts would not be issued until we know who the manager is. Makes me think its more likely Dyche or Nuno as opposed to Cooper or Ismael given the type of striker Benteke is.

The woman's divison is such a mess outside NXT it's borderline funny. Shayna Baszler lost to a male gymnast last week, Eva Marie is making a return, The Bellas kicked Bayley down a stage at Wrestle Mania and both Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose are still employed.

I think Aleister Black is a case of the dialogue between creative/production and talent relations being non-existent. I imagine in a couple of years time Bruce Pritchard will tell us exactly how much time, money and effort went in to recreating Aleister Black despite behind closed doors him being on the next round of cuts.

Full list at the minute: - Braun Strowman - Aleister Black - Buddy Murphy - Lana - Ruby Riott - Santana Garrett I think they all signed new contracts when WWE were hoarding people after AEW arrived but before the pandemic. Ive read rumours that Black, Murphy, Lana and Ruby had been unhappy at points in the last year which makes their choices a bit easier. Braun Strowman is a huge surprise though. I'm beginning to wonder if these cuts are a way of offsetting costs before a sale.

JR has been a mess since he's arrived at AEW which it's makes it even funnier that he will never get replaced as Tony Khan loves his famous 90s voices.

Two things to note from Double or Nothing... - Sting is in fantastic shape for a 62 year old and could be a real asset for AEW. - Anthony Ogogo has been ending matches in four seconds by punching guys in the stomach, but Triple Cody wearing an American flag can take a punch to the face and kick out after two.

      You okay?

  15. I'm annoyed @Stan robbed @Danny the opportunity of starting a Brentjford thread in this section just so he could gain more rep.
  16. Got through all the Marvel films... I don't think it's fair to compare the avenger films to the individual films as Avengers just felt like a combination of greatness that you could pick faults in but says more about you as a person for looking to criticise such work. Thor Ragnarok was my favourite non-Avenger film. It was like the producers let their hair down and thought "let's have some fun". Seemed pretty pointless when it looked like Thanos had destroyed everyone from Aasgard one minute in to Avengers Infinity War, but thankfully the legend that is Korg made it to Endgame with his Hawaiian shirt playing fortnite. That said I didn't find Loki convincing as a bad character so when he transitioned over time in to more of a comedic fool I was relieved. Captain America is easily the best Avenger to get behind though. Thor is too much in and out of those films, and Tony Stark is an irritant even though the Iron Man films in isolation were really good. Hulks fine albeit I think I preferred the version of him in Thor Ragnarok the most. Nick Fury can do one. Wasn't as keen on the Guardians of The Galaxy films as the other films. Chris Pratt and Dave Batistas characters just felt lame in comparison to the others. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about Doctor Strange, Ant Man or Black Panther but got in to those films and behind those characters pretty quickly. I didn't mind Spider Man by the end, which I thought was never going to happen as to me Spider Man is Tobey Maguire. I was hoping Vision would play a bigger role. Don't really think you could warm to his character until the Wanda Vision series kicks off. Wanda is still 100% the Avenger you would not want to piss off though. As a collective I'd give the Marvel series a 9/10.

Thank you for that mammoth effort mate, they're mint.

  19. You couldn't make this up. The two players bought in last summer to dramatically reduce the average age of the squad will not play again until 2022. I think the task to overhaul this entire team is going to be too big for one summer. Looks like we could be paying the price next season for all those dismal transfer windows we had prior to last summer.

The Miz is out for nine months with a torn ACL. I think those that slag him off will realise what he brings to the product whilst he's gone.
