Just spent the day paddle boarding with the Harbour Bridge in the background, cannot wait for Summer.
  3. My girlfriend studied in Adelaide, I think if you can drive around it'll be a good place to visit but if walking not as much. I'd probably go with Melbourne over Adelaide, you'll probably be able to see some of the Rugby League World Cup.

Roosters have been all over Broncos so far, but somehow the Broncos don't seem that out of it

I can't see this being anything other than an easy AJ win but it'll be good to see him fight again still.
  6. Will keep his price higher in Jan than if you left him out
  7. Good first result back in the Premiership against Harlequins, would have been an entertaining one to watch! Saracens hammered Northampton, no fucking about. Worcester had a mare...could be an interesting season for them.
  8. I'm happy the team managed a 4-0 win personally, we could have crumbled to a draw or struggled a 1-0 win. Good teams take their chances or at least take a flurry of chances so even if it was against Malta, it's a good attitude for them to have. The downside though is that we're used to seeing shit performances but good results and look how well that's served us tournament after tournament, the shit performances don't turn into good results because we're playing half decent sides and I mean half decent. We always struggle against Slovakia or Slovenia or someone distinctly average but then again, we are pretty average ourselves.
  9. I read a bit about Harry Kane talking about how the perceived lack of passion for England is a load of bollocks, and agreed with him, but having him, Southgate and whoever else telling England fans to be patient is like telling a homeless man that his luck might turn around someday. We've put up with some utter gash for years now, honestly not since 2006 have we seen a good account of an England team.
  10. Difficult deadline day, completely expected to see Jota go (though I was defo hoping he'd stay) and expected to see Dean go too. Not too bothered about Colin, good player but we've replaced him already. Overall now we have a strong team that most importantly are held to lengthy contracts. Jota filled the hole that Hogan left but we had no power there, if Maupay carries on that form then we have a long term plan. We have one experienced centre back and two centre backs that you could say are in the same position Harlee Dean was 1 or 2 years ago. If they can make the same improvements throughout this season then we should have three centre backs in and around his quality, as well as Mepham. I do think we could have done with bringing in a decent centre back, I guess wages are a constraint and you have to ask who could we buy that would be a significant improvement on what we already have? Not many. Overall I think our team is improved from last season, defensively I think we're much the same but we just have some more height in defence with Dalsgaard. Last season we were very reliant on Scott Hogan, but since January and this Summer we've now added Ollie Watkins, Neal Maupay, Sergi Canos, Jozefzoon and still have Vibe, Clarke and some B Team players knocking on the door now. I'm looking forward to seeing the team gel now the windows closed, we've been playing some good football so far this season and outside of the final result we've been matching our outplaying whoever we've played. I'm optimistic and relieved that the next time someone wants to buy a key player off of us, they won't be in the last year of their contract.
  11. What's happening with Azpi? Third centre back or wing back?

Went to see the mighty Rabbitohs last night lose to the apparently mightier Eels
  13. School holidays ain't my thing... I have no idea actually, potentially in February/March. If I have to leave Australia by then then I plan on flying out from Perth.
  14. Going to book a 4 day break for my birthday in Byron Bay, cannot wait.
  15. I'd be surprised if he chose you lot over Juventus.
  16. If Matic was a starter then this would be an underwhelming signing alongside Drinkwater, but seeing as Chelsea have Kante, Bako and Fabregas that's not a bad midfield. And then Oz can play on the wing also. Chelsea haven't strengthened imo, but I think they're equal to last season with Morata up front.

Haha no, but holidays are far too precious to give up for a day on the sofa!

Weekend break eaaaasy, take a Friday and Monday off and you have enough time away. Bank holidays even better, 5 days off!

Think of the traveling round Europe you could do!
  21. How would you rate your signings? I think your recruitment team are better than they don't know what they're doing and seeing as you don't exactly throw the cash around Id say money holds you back.
  22. I like Schmeichel, Forster would be no better than Mignolet imo.

I don't think the issue is the number is Sydney clubs, I just thinks it's the fact that they're trying to centralise the stadiums without an easily accessible and up to task centralised stadium. I read that they might want Penrith to play at an upgraded Parramatta Stadium, why?? Just upgrade Penriths stadium. I can see why you'd want the Eels and say Wests playing there, get the Eels away from the ANZ and make sure Wests don't end up there either. For me the best thing they could do is improve the suburban grounds, or at least a improve Moore Park and the transport links to it along with them and induct some a Brisbane and a Qld team.
