God don't I miss the NRL

Throughout my childhood and teenage years I can barely remember a game against Scotland. So it's not this big rivalry played every other year that we focus on. Scotland will always be a big game and the biggest simply because it is. It's England Scotland, national rivalry at its best. But to say it's the reason we're so shit is false. I felt pure embarrassment that we drew with you and that we weren't even dominating you and most people I know do too, but an equaliser is still an equaliser against one of our biggest rivals. We only really have two being Scotland and France and France show us most times how to play football, so for whatever gratification we get from beating you we get spanked a lot more regularly by one of our biggest rivals.

I'm not a massive fan of Henderson but when it's down to Chamberlain or Livermore then we definitely miss him.

That's the issue, Alli created a penalty out of nothing really and that can't be the sort of thing Southgate is relying on otherwise we'll get beaten by a decent team. For me it was obvious early on that we weren't creating or pressing, so why not play Alli deeper? If we can't get the ball forward why not let him push it forward, it may not be his best game but it's better than those two being isolated up too. We played with three centre backs but lost all benefits of that formation when we resorted to just parking the bus. The whole point is that the midfield and wing backs can push on and use the width created to try and pall apart their defence.

But you can't point out where all these millions of pounds that you aren't spending must be or are going to..
