  1. Funny. But it's pretty worrisome that people can change what you said.
  2. You wouldn't think so given they were playing Real Madrid the next day. It depends on the marketing in San Diego. They might have suggested that United would split their squad for the two games. I haven't heard about anybody who attended the game complaining.
  3. The United Wrexham reminded me what these North American friendlies used to be like. It's only in the 3 or 4 years that the teams put out decent sides, likely because of huge money on offer for attending. You used to see academy teams mixed in with the odd first stringer playing in stadiums not suitable for soccer and costing you an arm and a leg. The purpose of these games where to get players in shape and getting a look at young players on the verge of making it to the first team. There was never any consideration for the North American fans, it was a money making trip and a chance to get some training in away from England.
  4. Jackson scored again tonight against Newcastle. Starting CF, with Nkunku playing behind him.
  5. Only player on the club to have won the Premier I think.
  6. I had to look Bradman up as well, but I don't know anything about cricket, much prefer baseball. I also have heard of Dixie Dean, but then again I am old.
  7. Looks like it. The better of the two options for me.
  8. Chelsea are going to end up close to be relegated.
  9. With all Chelsea's talent it's surprising how poor they have been the last 4 months. They just can't buy a goal, something has to give pretty soon.
  10. Botley in Paris trying to make a deal for Neymar? Is that just a wild rumour?
  11. Unless Ratcliffe gets three or four individuals with his type of money, I don't think he can afford to lay out as much money that is needed. United need a new stadium and you want to see the same type of development City has done around their stadium. I think only the Arabs have that type of money.
  12. I think the way the Arabs get around owning two teams is to have a different branch of the ruling family buy United. Or have other individuals in Saudi Arabia or Quatar not directly related to the Emir buy the club.
  13. That's true. My guess it's going to be one of the Arabs
  14. He maybe an Arsenal fan but I do belive he was involved in the Chelsea bid.
  15. I think Lewis Hamilton is one of them. He was involved in the Chelsea bid.
  16. Looks like the sale is getting closer, three interested parties with somebody from Dubai being the favourite, with Qatar and Ratcliffe also in the running. Early February set as the deadline for bids.
  17. It's been a life time since I stood up in the Leppings Lane end, it used to be home end when I was a kid, but I was at Hillsbrough for two games in November. I was in the South Stand, the newest and best part of the stadium. The South Stand has nice seats, great sight lines and the pitch looks in good condition, but getting to you seat and the toilets at HT is another matter. Narrow turnstiles, narrow stairwells and a crowded concourse and that's the home end. Wednesday have Fleetwood at home in 4th round and are expected to advance, what happens if they are home to Liverpool or Man Utd in the 5th round?
  18. No thoughts on the crowd issues in the Leppings Lane end at Hillsbrough last week in the FA Cup?
