  1. Madison looks a good pick up for Spurs, he's involved in all their attacks. Imagine what he could of if they had kept Kane, Wonder if he or Son are on penalties?
  2. Still hope for us to offload Henderson then?
  3. The Guardian is saying the same thing. Kasper Schmeichel to replace him I hear.
  4. Seemed to Jinx it. Pretty tame second half compared to the first.
  5. Pretty gutsy going without Haaland. With 90% ownership he's a wash, it's like the game has only 10 starters and no captain.
  6. Looks like Spurs are going to replace Kane's goals with ones from defenders. Not sure about either of these teams defending, I expect this from Spurs but thought Brentford were more tighter at the back.
  7. Can't say I know anything about this guy, coming from the French league, is he any good. Stats aren't that great.
  8. I thought FIFA rules were only 5 year contract maximum? Chelsea to pay £115 m for Caicedo now, do Liverpool come back with £118m?
  9. Newcastle do look good, but Villa look terrible defensively. Mings injury has a major impact.
  10. Reports in Spain say season long loan no purchase option in deal. Your going to need a backup for Sanchez, any chance of taking Henderson off our hands. £20m will do it.
  11. Tarkowski was pushed into the space the keeper was headed into. Looked like Tarkowski was just standing his ground. Should have counted.
  12. Awoniyi the goal scorer is huge, didn't think he could move that fast.
  13. I guess you can't get Fubo TV in the UK? It's about half that price here in Canada and the USA
  14. Have to wonder why he started. Very little pre season game time . Can't be match fit or fully healthy
  15. I bought both the streaming sites available in Canada, most likely cheaper than your options.
  16. Foden starts, Stones doesn't. Rico Lewis also starts so I am hearing,
  17. Friday 11th August, 2023 Burnley 0-3 Man City, 20.00 Saturday 12th August, 2023 Arsenal 3-0 Nottm Forest, 12.30 Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham Brighton 3-1 Luton Everton 1-1 Fulham Sheff Utd 1-2 Crystal Palace Newcastle 2-0 Aston Villa, 17.30 Sunday 13th August, 2023 Brentford 1-2 Tottenham, 14.00 Chelsea 2-2 Liverpool, 16.30 Monday 14th August, 2023 Man Utd 3-0 Wolves, 20.00
  18. No, the slant of the political agenda and whether I agreed or not is not the issue. I believe that to win at that level you need to be fully focused on the matter at hand, which is winning the World Cup. Their attention and focus were divided, it hurt their preparation for the tournament and impacted how they played. It wasn't the only reason they lost but it played a part. The Americans weren't the only team to have similar issues, here in Canada, the women's team were pushing some of the same issues. They actually went on strike a few months before the World Cup and only ended their strike when faced with legal action. Both Canada and the USA massively under preformed at this World Cup and their needs to be an autopsy of why.
  19. Yes I did have the same criticism for Rashford. I support the cause he was promoting, but felt that his political activism had an impact on his form. Quite frankly he was crap during that stage and only improved when he spent less time on social issues and became more focused on football. He needed to find a balance and I assume that was what happened.
