Yeah I mean considering what you and @Lucas have just said, plus some links that my fiancé's texted me about whiplash and how long it takes to feel the effect of it and the seriousness of it... fuck it, I'm going to be filing that claim. Just gotta go to a doctor today or tomorrow.
  2. I mean in my honest opinion we should wipe all of the Holocaust denial posts from the forum and pretend it never happened, because that's fucking shameful and I wouldn't want some neo-Nazis coming on here thinking it's alright for them to spread their bullshit.

My mentality might be shaped by the fact that the last accident I was in was a pretty serious one - a drink driver hit me while I was on a motorcycle and sent me flying, and the surgery and recovery were absolutely fucking brutal. And it's actually a big part of why I was less active on here for about 7 or 8 months a few years back. But I went after that fucker for everything - and what his insurance couldn't cover, I went after his personal assets, which is a bit shit for his family... but this cunt's already fucked over his family because he was arrested for drink driving after my accident. And it was his third fucking time being caught drink driving, which gives you a prison sentence here. The entire process was such an ordeal, though. From being in hospital, to having to make shitloads of doctor visits, to having to get a lawyer and showing up in court. Here, as long as my neck's feeling alright... I don't see the need to claim it and potentially fuck this guy over when right now I'm feeling alright and it looks like things are going to be taken care of pretty rapidly. Granted, if my neck and back start hurting that changes things entirely. But this is an older disabled man, who apologised to me profusely - and accepted full liability while he was on a call with his insurance (which he fucking should, considering I braked to avoid hitting the car in front of me and he didn't). So I'd feel a bit bad claiming whiplash if I don't need to. Don't get me wrong, I think he's an idiot... but I just don't want to fuck over what appears to be just a poor old disabled man. But your story's a bit shit, mate. What an arsehole acting like a nice guy and then claiming whiplash when he was fucking fine - hearing that kind of shite definitely makes me resent all of the dickheads on the road.

I'm considering it but I also don't want to make that claim if I'm fine. Like I think the guy is an idiot for taking his eyes off the road, but I also don't want to completely fuck him over financially (because judging by his car, I don't think he's in the best financial position) and making his premiums go up more than they need to in order to properly compensate me. So if that's just fixing the damages to my car, which I already know will be covered by his insurance because I spoke with them and they sent someone out to come look at the damage and take pictures. Apparently it takes about a day to start feeling it properly though and if that happens, then yeah claiming whiplash and gonna get their insurance to pay for some massages for me - I've got a 72 hour window after the crash to go see a doctor and make the claim without his insurance asking any questions really. So if it hurts at all tomorrow, I'll be going to a doctor.
  5. Even intelligent people can fall for complete bullshit sometimes - and I'm sure some intelligent people voted to leave because they fell for the same bullshit. I also think that there are people who have cash in their bank accounts that are ready to make some decent investments in the aftermath of Brexit chaos. Some people will be forced to sell their homes or have their homes foreclosed on, people with cash will buy that up. And in the long term, they'll end up having made more money than they lost in the Brexit chaos. So I could see some people just thinking "fuck it, I could do with some more rental income" and not really giving a shit about the economic health of the country and how many people will lose their jobs/homes/shit like that - a lot of people really only give a shit about themselves. Then I think there's the people who voted purely on racist and xenophobic reasons and those people are absolutely not intelligent people.

He said he just wasn’t looking - it’s fucking rush hour traffic, keep your eyes on the road! But thanks re: the second bit
  7. My grandad was in the war and he was mortified that over half the country voted leave. My nan, though, his wife, voted leave. She also lived through the war. I wonder if the last years of his life were just constant political bickering.
  8. Well except for the people that make the YouTube videos and documentaries you watch

Haha it might be saying that But thanks mate, if my neck stays pain free I think I’m pretty lucky all things considered and my car will be fixed in about 10 days and it’s all covered under his insurance. But it’s fucking annoying for sure

Yeah the back of my car is smashed in. I’m surprised my neck isn’t really hurting from the crash - but I think that’s good because I’m getting married on Saturday and I don’t wanna have a stiff fucking neck at my wedding

Some dickhead forgot to use his breaks in traffic and slammed into the back of my car and I am so pissed off
  12. Who do you think our best free transfer ever is? Gary Mac? That was a good one. Milner and Matip are up there though - but I’d probably say Milner’s our best free transfer ever. He’s got to be at least 34 but I still want him to sign an extension like Matip’s just done.
  13. Honestly I’ll never forgive Terry for that slip against Manchester United. Should have been launched into the sun for that.
  14. Nah I appreciate how patient the EU has been with negotiations and I don't assume that the world or EU revolve around us, because it pretty clearly doesn't and that's why a lot of people are worried about No Deal. And I wouldn't expect the EU to be willing to negotiate, even if they did agree to a deadline to allow us to have a General Election. I just think it's more realistic to actually procedurally start over than believe that we will negotiate a better deal than May's poor deal in any limited amount of time.
  15. Even if a party tried to hold another referendum without while staying technically neutral... you'd have the same issue. A divided electorate that's firmly divided on the issue and has grown more divisive. The Brexit side is not going to want to have their vote split with "Leave with No Deal" and "Leave with a Deal," so you'll always have accusations of one side flaunting democracy and the will of the people - and it'll just create further divisiveness on the same fucking issue. And what then if that divisiveness keeps growing? Referendums on the UK's membership in the EU for eternity - as public opinion on the EU sways back and forth? A second referendum is something that sounds good to me in theory, but I just think in practice it'll be very difficult. If it's not worded the exact same, I think you'll have leave voters up in arms complaining about how it's not fair that their vote is split. Meanwhile, if you've got the wording the exact same as the first time, then it's not really specific enough - there are probably still voters out there that want to leave the EU but they don't want to leave with no deal. Have their opinions changed now that they've seen how Brexit negotiations have gone? Maybe. But I don't fucking know how these people think. But it's my own personal opinion that the referendum was very reckless in the first place - it asked too broad of a question for the electorate to decide. Especially with disinformation campaigns and flaunted election laws (broken with no real punishment either). And I'm not sure that another referendum can "fix" the reckless decision to have the first referendum. IMO this is Parliament's job to resolve and get the best result for the UK. If Parliament ultimately decides another referendum will decide our EU membership (or lack of it)… I really fucking hope it's come after we've withdrawn Article 50 so we can start the process over again though. As irritating as starting the process over again might be... a new "original" referendum can probably be done in a way that's less deceptive and misleading to the public. If there has to be another referendum on this. Don't ask me how we'd make a new and better referendum because I have no idea. But to be honest, I doubt anyone around Westminster knows what the fuck to do either. Since Article 50 was submitted, we've needed some sort of creative problem solving from the political leadership in all our parties and... well we don't have it. Also we should all throw stones at David Cameron if we ever see that twat.
  16. With how divided everyone is right now, maybe some suffering that we all feel together is what’s needed for a return to political normalcy. Bit fucked though if that’s the case.
  17. Yeah, but sadly I think people view politics as sport rather than where compromise can be made for the greater good. I’d like to be wrong but I doubt it. That’s why there are so many people who once told us we’d never leave with No Deal frothing at the mouth about how we must leave now, deal or no deal
  18. Fuckin told you it probably wouldn’t even get approved because you can’t claim ownership of something that vague
  19. Yeah I have no idea how Gears is even laid out on a keyboard, I just assumed WASD would be movement... but I don't know what you'd be using for switching weapons or that button where you... pretty much do all of the actions you can make your character to - which is defaulted to A on the controller (but I use "tournament mode" so it's on LB... which lets me bounce around from cover to cover while still having my thumbs on the sticks so I can aim and stuff - that's mostly for the wallbouncing in multiplayer though). So I have no idea how you'd even stretch for those buttons haha (like the active reload button, which is pretty critical in any Gears game). But playing these games for the last odd... however the fuck long it's been since the first one... I can't imagine playing them without a controller.
  20. Yeah, I don't think my computer (well maybe my work computer can actually) could handle Gears games or anything. I've also played every Gears game with a controller... so I imagine I'd be playing it on PC with a controller as well. Although I bet aiming is much fucking easier on a PC because aiming is always much easier on a PC.
  21. Yeah I agree about the difficulty. Gears games have never felt very challenging though unless you blast the difficulty way up and then the AI is all of a sudden infallible with it's aiming. I liked the campaign a lot though and I'm also having fun with the multiplayer, which kind of reminds me of being a kid so that's fun.
  22. Tory's should be joining the opposition in demanding he resign, if they at least wanted to pretend they still had any integrity.
  23. I've been playing shitloads of the Escape mode in Gears and I absolutely fucking love it.
