I think it was probably a case of him taking his chances that they had enough to see it through and saving him for the weekend. If the title race isn't so close or City already had it won I'm not sure he makes that sub at that time in the game.

I'd be gutted for this squad if they don't end up with at least one of the big two. Whatever happens it's been some journey to three finals and still being in the title race but not adding the league or European Cup would feel like they've not got what they've deserved to me. Adding the FA Cup would be great like but it feels like it needs more than just that for this season to be remembered as the special season it has been.

None of Salah, Mane or Jota are centre forwards either. Jota and Mane have shared the role through the middle this season but Mane hadn't played there very much at all until this season and Jota was also seen as more of a wide forward before he came to Liverpool.

I don't disagree with any of this. I remember there being direct comparisons with his time at Dortmund on here though and last season being proof of 'Klopp burnout'. It was a silly comparison because the two situations were completely different and Klopp has evolved as a manager since.

To be honest, Liverpool play a lot different now to how they did in say, Klopp's first full season. People who were saying 'Klopp burnout' probably don't really watch Liverpool much and assume that they just press intensely for 90 minutes which is no longer the case. They pick and choose their games/moments.
