I enjoy going to France, but my American/French accent is rather shit so I doubt they can tell it's from anywhere BUT the great of US of A.

What a great season it's been recently. I've been watching almost all of the Montreal matches in French, which has been a nice change in my learning. Too bad they are on a horrid run at the moment. The usual suspects are killing it Caps, Blues, Bruins, etc.
  3. Just saw on Facebook that a buddy on mine from High School is the head (American) football coach of a team there.
  4. DIsney+ just came out - So I'm starting over all the Star Wars films. Starting with 'A New Hope'
  5. Just counted and there are actually 28 DVD's.
  6. I loved Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and while I was in China, I bought the entire set of the series on DVD. Granted, I never finished watching them, but it's a pretty extensive series from the 90's, and is about 21 DVD's.
  7. Wow - I read that when I was living in China. Along with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Water Margin, and Red Chamber. Not easy reads, but I found them very fascinating.
  8. New book came in the mail today - Also reading this which I'm excited to start -
  9. Just started, Better than Us on Netflix. Very good show thus far, that also had some really good ratings.

    The Holiday Thread

Nope. Surprisingly it's not a place that I have really wanted to visit outside of seeing the the Grand Canyon. From what I've heard, it's expensive, but I'm really not into gambling or the bunny houses they have, so I just haven't been yet. I would like to see a Las Vegas Knights game there as the atmosphere looking amazing.

    Hip Hop/Rap

I'll drop this here. An artist out of Russia, Lil Kate, that is making some waves with her music. Plus....she's easy on the eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP5BqX5sFvk
  12. I mean if Kvyat doesn't have but Grosjean does, then something is wrong with F1. I still don't understand what their love affair with Grosjean is as he just seems like a reckless nutcase. He drives me nuts... The issue would be the fact that I'm not sure the Haas car is any better than the TR, but he'd certainly be cheaper (and better) than Grosjean.
  13. I remember this post now. Do you also get the feeling that everyone will start looking younger with studs like Max, Charles, Lando, and Russel, all out performing their teamates? I'd hate for Kvyat to get knocked out of F1, but from everything I've read, he was battling some demons earlier on in his career and since his fall from RB and his rebound to TR, he's in a better place mentally. Anyways, surely he'll have a seat at TR next year right?
  14. Ha yeah. It's really good. I think the scoring is similar to Rugby if you know that scoring system. I was curious while watching today, why did Albon get the RB seat over Kvyat? Daniil has been good this year, and even now has been out qualifying Gasly as he Albon. I know you like Alex Albon, but Daniil seems like a talented and ruthless driver.
  15. Pester away. Just sitting here, drinking a German Style beer, watching my College's American Football team kick absolute ass being up 31-0 and it's not even half-time.
  16. @Spike I never said anything was wrong with Bud/Coors Light. I prefer Coors Light, and usually always have some in my fridge. Especially when the Atlanta heat is getting to you, nothing really beats a nice, ice cold, Coors Light.
  17. Absolutely. Ditto if you are ever in Atlanta.
  18. Next time I'm in SD I might ask for some recommendations and do a pub crawl. You're right about the taste though, every micro-brewery seems to have an IPA, Stout, and an Ale, and then all of their 'craft' beers.
  19. I love trying local breweries whenever I visit. Their is a trappist brewery in New York that I want to visit. Columbus, Ohio, also has a toooooooooooooooooonnnnnn of great breweries.
  20. Ah - yeah I guess that does make more sense when you compare the water used in beer, and not bottled water in general. I also find it funny how people think American Beer is awful, but only look towards the Budweiser and Coors. We have a few breweries here that make fantastic beer. Ommegang, Goose Island, Abita, even Sweetwater here in Atlanta makes great beer. There has been an explosion of micro/craft breweries here in the States, and probably my favorite one is Unknown Brewery. I'll see if @Spike and @Dr. Gonzo agree as they both live/have lived in the States for some time.
  21. It's a bit different thought right? I'm from Atlanta, home of Coke, and no matter where I go, if I get a Dasani, it's taste the same to me. Whereas if I'm out to eat and get a water here, it'll taste VERY different than when I travel to Chattanooga and have some of their water.
