  1. it is not a crime for a country to make money and making money doesn't make it illegal.
  2. I can empathise with the Everton fans, I know that feeling they are going though. I wont sugar coat the fact that the people running the club are responsible for it, reckless spending on players that you wonder who scouted these players. It would be great to have the Merseyside derby and a somewhat competitive one, though part of me doesn't think the Everton situation is healthy, they may be the 2022 version of Leeds in the early 2000's and the knock on effect may push clubs to make smarter decisions when it comes to buying.
  3. I think the knee jerk reactions are over the top, the doom and gloom notably by those that have a vested interest in the demise of Chelsea due to "rivalry" is overplayed. It is not like Chelsea are going to end up in the hands of Mike Ashley. To buy chelsea as a going concern will require a "substantial" investor and thus someone with Abramovich or more money. The fact that it may be another Saudi group will really piss on a few batteries and that's my thing. Never had an issue with Chelsea or Man City, the notion that it ruined the game is also facetious at best. Chelsea and Man City are the reason for great money influx which has been dominated by the "top 6 club" that have milked the riches. Inflation is due to lesser clubs selling assets at over the top prices which caused a knock on effect. I would agree with new UEFA and FIFA rules on capping salaries (like US sports determined by market size) and setting up arbitration panels which can set player values before every season and any dispute on value can be arbitrated, I would agree that there needs to be some upper limit set on maximum transfer fee allowable also depending on the clubs market size in conjunction to revisions of FFP rules to ensure sustainable finances but also that lesser clubs are not priced out creating the current gulf between top 7 and the rest.
  4. We get a Saudi, you get a saudi, everyone gets a saudi.
  5. they should play the British airways pre flight tutorial at every Chelsea game. keep your elbows in and trays in their upright locked position
  6. the expectation man United sell all their crap and rebuild of some promising talent. the reality it's hard to sell players on big contracts whose performances make them valueless. even getting rid of them for free means paying towards the contracts. man United are the new York Mets of football, overpaying for Mendoza line level output. they have to ride out some of the contracts. the can sell players like pogba and fernandes though
  7. Pretty terrible decision akin to flagrant discrimination. Without cause that Abramovich is involved in anything this is another slap in the face of liberty by the imposters that now stand in its stead.
  8. which is why football clubs should be looked at as Juristic persons independent of the entities. Chelsea is a well run club who's affairs have been for the betterment of English football and including woman's football.
  9. man United need to have a bus stop in front of the goal
  10. it's a witch hunt which borders on illegality. i find myself amused at the West that panders ideals like democracy and liberty but the government's long arm it. from trudaeu censoring and shutting down people using their right to protest invasion of liberty, then seizing assets. Joe and Hunter Biden's corrupt dealings with Ukraine and China and the cover up and how censoring political opposition is the new modus operandi. I am not sure the Western leaders really care about us, but let me have two scoops of Roman is bad because he did energy deals in Russia a long time ago, with a dash of moral cleansing tonic
  11. M.A.D it will be important to ascertain what business was done. if he was smuggling kids from Crimea to red light district, sure but if it was supply and demand gases, withholding his rights is so very fascist thing to do. I think the UK has overstepped the mark here, this goes to extreme over reach on personal liberty. thry are also harming English assets so it's a bit pathetic
  12. the Western leaders only care for profits, corporate cronyism, corruption is rampant and of course they are all soft yolks. may have been Julius Caesar that said nothing was ever achieved by talking. conquest or show of force has always resolved conflicts
  13. sure it was not the smartest thing to do, but Roman has been a great owner and from a business standpoint built Chelsea into a powerhouse. this is a witch hunt of convenience. like who doesn't deal with Russia prior to 2 weeks ago?
  14. more reason why the internet needs to go under lock and key and be restricted like the past. These kinds of reports lead to baseless fanaticism. People will believe whatever their subjective biases tell them.
  15. Bull Durham, one of my favourite baseball movies.
  16. Is there such a thing as a nice war? or just living under the pipe dream that people are going to fight wars by the geneva play book
  17. Come to south africa, the ANC are entrenched in communist ideology and South Africa gave up all the natural resources to china and russia for about 300bn lol. We are basically owned by the Russians and Chinese.
  18. I am so over these stupid talks. When you really do all the traces you will always get back to some western politician with their fingers in the pie. It has just become in vogue to play virtue politics instead of engaging real issues. Is Abramovich's conduct in running the football club clean? I would say he has been much cleaner than the City owners when business ethics is considered. And somebody like mike ashley is allowed to steal 400m out of a club and fail to post financials for 4 seasons, screwed over his own employees by denying them salaries and covid benefits while cavorting his personal endeavours, this guy was allowed to run a club because so long as the big 4 are not inconvenienced and the FA don't get a piece of pie then nobody gives a crap. Abramovich had dealings with putin, so what, america has dealing with maduro, xi jimpeng, Putin, the UK and Europe are up to their necks in the shit pit of despotic leaders. Spare me the epithets. The issue in Yemen predates the current Saudi government, the war is basically the Saudi's and UAE funding two extremist groups that represent different ethnicities of Muslims that are not interested in peace. If the West really gave a toss they would have steam rolled all the extremists like they did with Iraq and set up a proxy government until Yemen was stable for self governance, like Afghanistan....oh wait to soon. Does Saudi Arabia represent Newcastle, no not at all unless you suffer from the cognitive dissonance of virtue grandstanding. Here is a virtuous solution, these people should get a gun and go fight for their cause, until then hush it.
  19. man United have very few players capable of getting into City, pool or Chelsea. lots of old hasbeens and lots of neverbeens. outside fernandes and Rancho who else would anyone want
