  1. Maybe the people above them can instigate that change. Calling them all names under the sun days after the event or wishing they were dead doesn't actually change anything, does it? It's not about precious feelings or anything like that. Just a bit weird it's continued 5 days later as if we can actually change anything or influence it.
  2. Or they're saving themselves the absolute shite they'll get from Liverpool fans if he's given a Liverpool game again this season. Nothing to do with biased, that's just conjecture.
  3. There's now an article on BBC about it. Apparently police targeted her on a train for not wearing a hijab, and are alleged to have severely assaulted/beaten her up to the point she was unconscious and is now in hospital.
  4. Would love to know what was said. £90k fine! Obviously a pittance to him...
  5. Tory Party Conference has been an absolute shambles, as expected then.
  6. It's at this point they could have just checked what they're actually checking, and cleared up the comms: And then at this point they could have paused the game, merely a few seconds (if that!) after the restart. Yes, Spurs would have argued that the game restarted so should have carried on, but if you're looking at the integrity of the game to clear up a 'clear and obvious error', then go back and give the goal: Then, weirdly, the replay operator confirms 'are you happy with this?'. Even weirder, is that the Assistant Ref says 'yeah, offside, goal, yeah'. SO CLEAR, lads. FFS. Then the PGMOL Hub Ops chimes in way too late, asking to 'delay'. This is the most frustrating thing - 'Can't do anything'. Yes. Yes you can. Stop the game. Take some initiative. Simon Hooper isn't to blame here, and he's been majorly let down by his assistants on the pitch and in VAR. How he wasn't communicated with at any point is beyond me.
  7. Replay operator the only one on the ball. VAR: 'can't do anything' after they've restarted the game. Common sense should dictate you go back to the restart of the game if the mistake is as bad as this.
  8. How do you mean? I think they mean they won't rule out releasing it in advance of the Mic'd up programme...?
  9. All goes well, I could end up back at Leicester on Saturday...
  10. Next round tonight. Reminder. @Mel81x @Lucas @Dr. Gonzo @Devil @Reluctant Striker @Beelzebub @Viva la FCB @Pyfish @OrangeKhrush
  11. I think you misunderstood what I meant by baby steps but it's a moot point anyway. They won't listen to fans about what should/shouldn't happen.
  12. Hand out suspensions for any player caught giving verbals to the refs and they'll soon watch it. They still get away with too much these days. Already know who'll come back to that saying refs are shit so they deserve the abuse
  13. Could be a plethora of things but I'd love to see how they're trained up from grass-roots through to professional football and up the hierarchy. And if it that's remarkably different to how we do things here, perhaps PGMOL should take a leaf out of their book. Either way the referee/VAR training does need to improve. Or perhaps we're just incredibly biased and so tired of absolute howlers, we miss when referees have good games. This topic goes very quiet whenever VAR gets decisions right (and they do, it's not like every decision is bad or wrong). Everyone is so against VAR that the bad decisions stick out way more than anything else. Our game against Norwich last week went by and there wasn't any discussion about poor refereeing and if I remember correctly the general consensus was that he had a good game. No VAR in that game but I don't recall any clear & obvious errors that would have been changed by VAR even if it was in place.
  14. Webb's not worse than Riley, either. Webb is less shit, but at least he vocally wants some change and improvement. I don't ever recall Riley saying anything to actually try and improve the situation.
  15. Game 43 - 27th Game 44 - 20th
  16. There were some close calls but no winners for either games unfortunately. 36 minutes for Game 41, and 30th minute for Game 42. On we go! GAME 43 - LUTON vs BURNLEY - TUESDAY 3rd OCTOBER, 19.30 (BST) GAME 44 - ATLETICO MADRID vs FEYENOORD - WEDNESDAY 4th OCTOBER, 17.45 (BST) ***any predictions made after kick-off will not count*** @Mel81x @Lucas @6666 @Dr. Gonzo @Michael @Redcanuck @Devil @Reluctant Striker @CaaC (John) @Beelzebub @Devil-Dick Willie @JoshBRFC @Viva la FCB @Pyfish @Bluewolf @Tommy @Rucksackfranzose @OrangeKhrush
