How come?

Watched 83 with the missus last night. Was good, enjoyed it. Knew of the tournament win but didn't know of some of the other nuggets and smaller but influential and pivotal parts of the win. My dad managed to get a ticket too for the final and he recalls the moment everyone went on the pitch and celebrated. I had no idea how underrated and unfavoured India were before the tournament, or even during it. And almost disrespected by some arrogant individuals. The David Frith 'eating his words' story was amusing. Kapil Dev really was brilliant on and off the pitch. The only one who really believed from the start.

Rafa's resolve in the final set was superb. Not satisfied with letting it go to a 5th, had to dig deep to recover in that set and it paid off. The mental fortitude of both of these players is astonishing though. Djokovic a set and 3-0 down at one point, recovered to take it to 1-1 into the 3rd set. And then Rafa down 3-0 and 5-2 in the 4th, then ends up winning. They find the physical and mental strength out of nowhere.

Rafa nearly there!! Brought it back from 5-2 in the 4th to take it to a tie break. Now leads 5-1 in that tie break...

Enjoyable game as ever between Nadal and Djokovic. Nadal looked very comfortable for a set and a half, Djokovic coming back into it a bit.
