  1. Which is why I think Starmer is fairing well for Labour. Of course Tories and their behaviours/mixed messages give Labour pretty much open goals, but they'd be foolish not to try and score in those open goals. Obviously he's not the governing power but he wouldn't be an effective leader of the party if he was missing these opportunities.
  2. Yes heard about this as well. Feel sorry for ABBA being lumped in with all that shite
  3. If no significant action is taken before Wednesday's PMQs, it could be quite entertaining. All of them have so far because of Starmer's calm yet cutting demeanour strikes right through the heart of Boris, Hancock and anyone else really. Not only Starmer and Labour, there are several Tory MPs/back-benchers who can't stand Cummings either. There's going to be pressure from all over the shop.
  4. Also begs the question that if it was fine at the time, why was it covered up...
  5. I see Kuenssberg's 'source' is out in force again defending him Also, who's lying? Police confirmed they spoke to his parents and they confirmed he was staying there. Then Number 10 say police weren't contacted?! It just puts a mockery on everything since government started dealing with this pandemic and emphasises their lack of honesty and clarity and inability to take any kind of responsibility in it all. Denying he broke the rules is mistake number one when a day after the lockdown was planned, Boris was saying don't visit family if you or your family may have symptoms. It's the whole point of 'protecting the NHS' wasn't it? Stop the transmission of infection? Of course Cummings is immune to these rules. I sympathise with all the families who have resisted the temptation to go and visit their relatives under the stricter lockdown rules. They've held strong for weeks and weeks yet within days of the instructions being announced, the PMs own advisor is breaking the rules.
  6. If anyone isn't aware of what Cummings, the chief PM advisor, did then this should clear it up. Indefensible and has to go.

    Tennis

Had a day off today and saw there were some French Open final reruns. Nadal vs Federer in 2011 and vs Djokovic in 2013. Good times.
  10. After rightful pressure from Labour government and Tory MPs too. Can't believe it was ever considered to charge them more when you see how much they've sacrificed in the past few months. Some have paid the ultimate sacrifice as well whilst being on the front line.
  11. @nudge after what she had for lunch today

  19. We used to have the white candy one as well and we used to think we all looked so cool having it like a cigarette
  20. Oh don't get me wrong there was all that too Friday's were always pizza and chips. Beautiful. I used to help run the tuck shop in middle school and used to take so much crap
  21. Think it was mentioned near the start of the outbreak that Chinese New Year was a huge catalyst for it. Agree with the bottom statement. Needed change for a while but it's just how we've gone about it. I try not to get hung up too much on seeing all these long queues at drive-thrus now that fast-food chains have re-opened but kind of tells you a lot - how much people are pining to back and hit those chains and even more so, happily sit for 2-3 hours in their car just to get on a limited menu (at McDonalds, anyway). I don't mind having fast food but not that desperate Plus it's about exercise not just the food served up anyway. I have no idea what it's like in schools these days but I remember in all my school years from lower through to 6th form there was emphasis on PE/Games and sport time throughout the week.
