Surprised at that. After the first set he looked really fired up and came back to win the next 2. Then switched over to Edmund game thinking he'd go through then was very surprised to see he'd lost the 5th and been knocked out. Edmund was in a very strong position 2 sets up and 3-1 up in 3rd but seems to have got an injury and Verdasco came back in it. Could go to 5 sets and Verdasco will win.

Not gonna lie i was beginning to get a bit worried before we got Shakib out (who's a brilliant player by the way) and then worried again when Shaifuddin stayed in for a long time. Then Bumrah came and did the job as expected. Class bowler. Pandya made up for his duck with a few wickets too. I'm happy we've now qualified which means there's no pressure to get a result against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh put up a good fight though - fair play to them.

Good fun at Edgbaston so far. Given the start and solid innings from Sharma I'd have liked more than 314 on the board. Should have been getting 330-340. Bangladesh shouldn't be taken lightly...

Thought Roy and Bairstow would both get centuries but just the latter today. England such a different side with Roy at the crease. Means less pressure for following batsmen to come in unlike Vince who gets out cheaply more often than not. Couple of fortunate moments early on though. Thought SL would struggle to reach 200 at one point. They went from 67-1 to 111-5 and indicative of their whole tournament; start well and collapse thanks to middle-order failing. They only just made it but at least it's still something relatively decent for their bowlers to try and defend.

That is shameful from England. It's like since the Pakistan match and especially in the Sri Lanka/Aus matches they've lost their rhythm. Appear to be shot of confidence. Not to discredit the opponents but England appear to have suddenly changed?! Definitely makes the tournament more interesting! Bangladesh on the brink of top 4. Sri Lanka just a bit further away. Pakistan with an outside chance. I'm hoping we beat West Indies anyway but to do that knowing we can still qualify should we lose against a resurgent (?) England would be comforting.

Could be a seriously good game today between England & Australia. On the grandest stage, too...
