Yep. Quality and experience showing over Thiem now. Although thought it was quite harsh to say Thiem is playing like a teenager even though he's 25. He's not been that bad or thrown his toys out the pram. Really don't know what they were angling at there.

    Tennis

Yep. Just makes them even more determined to win.

What's happened to Thiem?! Tired himself out totally by looks of it. Such a contrast to first 2 sets.

Thiem's giving him a really good test though! First half of the first set was brilliant tennis between the two. Big hitting and really physical. Think it took its toll on Thiem towards the end though.

India vs Australia today. Arguably biggest game of the tournament so far...

Agree about Hawkeye. For such a major tournament I don't get why it's not used. Nadal vs Thiem in the final

Yeah same. Think Thiem vs Nadal would be a better final too. Hope there's no rain tomorrow as well.

Rafa is in imperious form as expected, at Roland Garros. Federer wasn't bad today; Rafa was just so much better.
  14. Irony being that Peterborough voted Leave by 61% in 2016.

Yeah just checked forecast. Not looking good. May even be some thunderstorms.

Expect a comfortable win for you today @Stick With Azeem but sometimes you guys can be a bit unpredictable...

Yeah I don't get why no-balls can't be called out if the on-field umpire misses it. There's so much technology for everything else and it's not like the cameras aren't in place to spot it. It happens for a wicket so why can't it happen for a normal ball in an over.
  18. @El Profesor is there much hype about this kid? Even before the goal?

    Cricket

Yep. They've upped the ante a bit though as they're now 224-8 in the final over. Equates to about 4.5 runs an over. So for India to win, they'd have to hit more than 4.5 runs an over and reach the total SA have set. Most decent sides these days get towards 300-350 runs. Having said that, weather conditions and pitch conditions play a big part even in one-day games.

    Cricket

At the moment, yep. SA have about 4 more overs left to get the highest total they can without losing the rest of their 3 wickets.

11 players on a team but 10 wickets lost. Or if you don't lose all your wickets, it's important to 'bat out' all your overs just to make the most of them, in this One-Day International format it's 50 overs.

    Cricket

Not really winning at the moment because they haven't batted yet. South Africa aren't in a great position though having lost 4 wickets after just 22 overs.
  23. Firstly, that's one person you know who doesn't like India . Maybe the places he goes to is a shithole but it's not like the whole country is a shithole or that they're all slumming it. When I went there, pretty much did a whole tour of the country - there's shit parts, there's some absolutely amazing parts. Guess what? It's like pretty much any other MEDC! Of course Spain is nice. I like Spain too. What does your friend liking Spain have to do with London being English by culture? By the way, and it probably doesn't matter to you, but you seriously do sound like Katie Hopkins when you say there's ghettos . Integration has failed in some parts; I don't disagree. But it's kind of hard for people to integrate when they're labelled or targeted in the first place, no, like the aforementioned Hopkins or people like Robinson? Or political figures like Farage or Boris Johnson who clearly spew their bile in their newspaper columns or in promotional campaigns to shit on the minorities? How can people be expected to integrate when they're racially abused or physically attacked just for being a different skin colour ffs? What do you expect them to do, act like it didn't happen and invite the racists in for tea and curry? I don't agree with the anti-LGBT protests by the way. Think it's a load of old shit and the parents need to get with the times. I think the teacher who's idea it was needs commending for teaching children that other children will be different and that's how it should be. It's not teaching them anything graphic or x-rated. I think the parents are being over-sensitive about it and have taken it too far with these extended protest. When it comes to that kind of integration in to our society, I'll give you that. Taking kids out of school totally just because they have a teacher who decides to preach equality is a dumb move. I still don't believe Cleese is right in his comments. To say London isn't English any more, for me, is wide of the mark. It's had a diverse culture for several years. Decades, probably. I also don't agree that western culture has retreated or is retreating, either.
  24. Will be most remembered for this screamer 1 cherry on top that it was a last-minute equaliser. Another cherry on top that it was in your rivals own back yard. Absolute stunner.

Ah gutted for Afghanistan. Thought they'd be good for the win with bit of confidence. Malinga too good for them at the death. Had Najibullah stayed in longer it might have been closer.
