I disagree. I had high hopes for West Indies, as documented on here before the tournament started, but they totally failed to deliver. There's only so much Russell would have done. The best players on show for West Indies were Hope & Pooran and even then it wasn't all the time. They were very underwhelming and I don't even think I expected too much of them. Bangladesh or Pakistan would have deserved and taken the 4th spot if others didn't qualify.

I really didn't see this coming to fruition. Australia couldn't chase down SA's high total. India vs NZ on Tuesday. England vs Aus on Thursday.

Everyone seems to be loving the 'honesty' part of Kyrgios words & actions but for me he's an embarrassment for the sport. Childish and pathetic.

England join Australia & India in the semi-finals. If Pakistan beat Bangladesh (by a huge margin), they could overtake NZ on net run-rate but that's very unlikely. If India beat SL and Australia lose against SA, it'll be India vs NZ & Australia vs England in the semi-finals. Should Australia win (the more likely outcome), they'll play NZ and it'll be India vs England in the other.

Surprised at that. After the first set he looked really fired up and came back to win the next 2. Then switched over to Edmund game thinking he'd go through then was very surprised to see he'd lost the 5th and been knocked out. Edmund was in a very strong position 2 sets up and 3-1 up in 3rd but seems to have got an injury and Verdasco came back in it. Could go to 5 sets and Verdasco will win.

Not gonna lie i was beginning to get a bit worried before we got Shakib out (who's a brilliant player by the way) and then worried again when Shaifuddin stayed in for a long time. Then Bumrah came and did the job as expected. Class bowler. Pandya made up for his duck with a few wickets too. I'm happy we've now qualified which means there's no pressure to get a result against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh put up a good fight though - fair play to them.

Good fun at Edgbaston so far. Given the start and solid innings from Sharma I'd have liked more than 314 on the board. Should have been getting 330-340. Bangladesh shouldn't be taken lightly...
