it's a shame this test wasn't won as no doubt the 5th test would have been intense and potential to be one of the all-time great test matches given the quality in each side. I said on another site that without Kohli, we would have been embarrassed more so than we were 4 years ago. He's the only one who's mastered these conditions and as you say, if it wasn't Pujara or Rahane supporting, barely anyone else would. No-one else would make a stand or resist the English bowling attack. At times, England were there for the taking - they have Curran to thank for 2 of the tests; this one and the Edgbaston one moreso. What a player he'll be. Could have been a totally different scoreline both in the individual matches and series if we got him out early. There's little disciple and patience in this side if the top 4/5 get out. It's very IPL-oriented with the likes of Pant and Pandya in the side. They're not made for tests; while they may be easy on the eye and will come in for cameos with sixes and fours it's sometimes not what you need in tests cos you're bound to get out swinging. Today was the perfect example of emphasis needed to be put on tiring out the bowlers and getting them frustrated while the pitch worked in the bowler's favour. Compare our middle/lower order batsmen to England's - where you have Buttler, Stokes and Curran who can adapt their attacking, aggressive game to a more organised and composes innings. As an aside, it's been a fantastic series to watch and I'm glad to have seen Kohli succeed here. I think personally it would have meant a lot to him but losing the series would have hurt as he seems to have worked on his game so much. Just hope he can end this tour on a high with a win in the next match. I'm going on the first day on Friday so hopefully we see some good cricket! There's been a rollercoaster of emotions on this tour for both sides and at times it's been enthralling to watch.

to be fair, it'd be impressive for Hamilton to win from here considering Raikkonen has the better-performing car. Fluctuating between 0.5 & 1sec behind Kimi with 10 laps to try and turn it around...

Yeah we need some good stands to save this match. Can't just rely on Kohli and Pujara. On a wicket that will turn as well can't imagine us holding out. Need to get Broad and Anderson out quickly tomorrow morning though.
