i'm liking this new colourful track with the coloured 'degradation' zone. There's a part of the track which looks fucking confusing - there's various turn offs which still have tarmac on them and if I was driving no doubt i'd be taking a different turn each time

was also gonna mention Ambrose and Walsh before I got to reading your bit. How they've missed out is beyond me! Maybe it's because my best memories of him are in the ODI format but didn't expect Sehwag there to open! Maybe thought Cook or Langer would be there instead. Would probably be happier if, like you say, Dravid was there too or Sangakkara in for Gilchrist. There's maybe even a shout for Chanderpaul to be in there somewhere too.

just been told that a colleague of ours at work passed away this morning from terminal cancer . She was diagnosed a while back but made a recovery to come back to work a few months ago and things looked a bit more promising, however recently condition worsened. Puts things in to perspective when you moan about some things in your job (I did today) and then receive news like that

strongly agree with this. Why does it have to be £10 or £20? Why is it constrained to that? The celebs must have received a fee for appearing/playing yesterday - I would love to know how much of that they donated to the cause. And as for the actual players, especially Yaya Toure as he was the only one still a full professional (?), how much of their fees did they donate?

same. it was hyped up to be a great one after yesterday's quali but it was anything but! just another procession. Only excitement was first lap with Hartley & Stroll's collision and then towards the end when Hamilton was chasing down Ricciardo. I swear every driver was put off by the chequered flag being done early as well. What a mess that was

Was it his fault?? From one angle it looked like Hartley may have hit him from behind and then got squeezed in to the wall because of the hit.

Watched quite a few games of the French Open this time around. Schwartzmann, who Nadal beat in the semis, looks like a decent prospect. Look forward to seeing him in the next few years. Same with Cecchinato. Rafa is the ultimate king of clay though. Unreal how good he is on that surface.

Bottas deserved his front-row placing. Verstappen kept up with practice form and speed and is probably good for a podium spot if RB play their strategy right and he behaves. Wonder what the odds are of Verstappen hitting someone with the front of his car and the commentators describing it as a 'head-butt'? Hamilton looked a bit off the pace but no doubt his experience will get him in contention for a podium too.
