I can honestly say that my missus cooks the meanest Sunday Roast on the planet...

I have indulged in many home and away and nothing compares to what she can whip up...

    Love ya babe x

i agree with all of this.

  2. Just listening to Totally Football show podcast and they touched on Spurs and Kane's impressive form against London sides (19 goals in 28 games) which is stupidly good.

They also mentioned Tottenham's October, which is challenging to say the least...

    Real Madrid away
    Liverpool home
    West Ham home
    Man Utd away
    Real Madrid home (nov)

Won't say it'll make or break their season but certainly a very tough run of games!

How has Ileanacho done so far? I know there were some Leicester fans that tag him as one of the next big thing who will score many many goals, has he been playing well?

played in a friendly against Gladbach and got injured after assisting a goal.

Missed the first few games of the season and has only played a couple of times so far. I think Shakespeare is still trying to find out the best way to utilise him.

He had the audacity to call me out for not responding to Napoli losing to Shakhtar yesterday, saying I only comment when my teams win. He just doesn't know when to stop.

Its not just the hypocrisy though, he also brings up previous posts just to make me look bad when in reality I think all know he's not a serious poster. A blatant troll he is.

to be fair, he's in a Utd discussion thread posting Utd stuff...

  5. can't say much because corruption in the hierarchy of Indian cricket has been rife for years but more Pakistani crickets have been banned or sanctioned due to spot-fixing or being linked to it

    Quote

Pakistan batsman Khalid Latif has been banned from cricket for five years for his part in a spot-fixing ring.

A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tribunal handed down the punishment after finding Latif guilty of all charges at a hearing on Wednesday,

The PCB has been conducting a long-running investigation into corruption in the Twenty20 Pakistan Super League.

Latif, 31, has played five one-day internationals and 13 Twenty20 internationals for Pakistan.

He was fined one million Pakistan rupees (£7,020) after being found guilty of fixing or taking a bribe to underperform, failing to disclose corrupt approaches and soliciting players into corrupt acts.

Fellow Islamabad United batsman Sharjeel Khan was also bannedfor five years last month, with two and a half years of his ban suspended.

Spot-fixing is where the outcome of a particular passage of play is pre-determined, as opposed to fixing the outcome of a match.

All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz and seamer Mohammad Irfan have also been sanctioned as part of the inquiry after they failed to report suspicious approaches.

A number of other players have also been questioned or suspended while the inquiry is carried out.

Britain's National Crime Agency provided the initial intelligence that led to the PCB investigation.

Folks, who do y'all think will be the next to achieve the Ultimate Double, as I call it (The World Cup and Champions League in the same calendar year)?

Khedira was the last to do it in 2014 whilst playing for Germany and Real Madrid. Roberto Carlos was another.

Toni Kroos? Thomas Muller? Gabriel Jesus? Neymar (and the bevy of PSG Brazilians)? Messi???????????????????????

    Probably Neymar.

I would have said Ronaldo next year but I don't think Portugal will win the World Cup.

maybe in 2022 it'll be Asensio with Spain.

I know that last line is a pop, but he's a great defender believe me. The number 80% as stated earlier, was an estimate. I don't rate most of the CB's I have seen. Again, I've heard good things about Bailly, there may be a few others I haven't heard of that could be performing well, but from most of what I've seen its not a great league for CB's.

The "too good for the Peruvian League" wasn't the example. That was to prove the point that his performances for Peru haven't been only down to Ricardo Gareca. He's done excellently on both accounts while Aldo Corzo, who also plays for La U has only done well for the NT while struggling in the league. Football has no logic but he's peaking now just like Paolo Guerrero who mind is considered by most South Americans as one of the best 9's in the continent.

I don't remember if I said "was" injury prone but as I answered above, he is now and while he may struggle to stay fit I'm sure defensively he can do a job for most teams in the PL.

    or..........

    'a complete guess'

    1. He played in Portugal, ok. There's a big sense in truth in that. Unfortunately the discrimination still exists. It's true that he could have gotten to a bigger club, but Peruvians still get ignored to a degree. However, were talking about now, not before. Back then the standard was better, and he's peaking now. Perhaps he didn't fit the bill? im sure Portuguese sides don't get scouted either unless it's the big 3, which brings me to my next point...

which brings us nicely to what you were saying earlier.

First you said he's only in Peru because of age. Then you went on to say he chose to go back but then he was also injury prone.

Just because you're too good for the Peruvian league doesn't automatically mean you're better than 80% of the defenders in one of the best leagues in the world xD. Such a random stat/number plucked out of the air to seemingly add strength to an enormously weak argument.

Like @Danny said, he can't be that good when you type his name in to Google and a film actor comes up before him xD

Maybe because football was different 7-10 years ago. Not a whole lot but you don't have to play for a great club to be a great player.

If you're a Peruvian and a CB playing in Europe, that's a great feat already.

Again, this is just a case if you guessing. You've never seen him in your life. He's not world class, he's not better than the top defenders in the PL but he's easily better than Stones and Otamendi. I can tell you via comparisons and that I've seen all 3.

you've only seen Otamendi in qualifiers. How many times have you seen him (or Stones) for Man City?

Alberto Rodriguez, who plays for Universitario is better than 80% of center backs in the Premier League. He's only here because of age, but even then he's still got it for a top tier league as proven in the qualifiers.

so is he there because of age or not?

if he's good enough for a top tier league, why is he not in one?

In the process of buying my first house at the moment and by in the process I mean actually going out and looking at potential properties. I don't know if it's just the area that I live in but you can buy a shoe box and what feels like a mansion for the same price. It seems as though people literally put their houses on the market for whatever the feel like and you just have to spot the right property at the right time.

Visited a house today and it was a right shambles, didn't even ask any questions just spent five minutes wandering around and then left.

the first house you view is very rarely the one you'll end up buying. Usually takes a few houses so you can know what you want and know what you don't like.

You buying it with the mrs?
