I always found Bundesliga a mediocre league, still no clue how it is Germany in the 2nd place for ranking where they have only 1 good team out of 18. Their league is just a tiny bit better than the Ducth League.
On the other hand I never understood why Ligue 1 is considerated such a bad league. Only because their team never win UCL or Europa League doesn't mean it is not entertaning. It is the only league where everybody more or less stand a chance of doing good. It baffles me everytime when people keep attacking it as it like a lower class league.
In reality, and definitely from now on, it'll be Monaco and PSG vying for the title like it is in Germany where it's really only Dortmund and Bayern who are the big guns that can compete for the title. Bayern more so obviously.
Germany is ranked higher because of the profile of the players and how well the national team does/is doing. From the outside, and not that I watch a lot of the Dutch league though, Bundesliga is streets ahead of it. German teams are always more competitive in Europe. Other than Ajax last season, has any other Dutch side ever come close to winning a European trophy in the last 10-15 years?

Haha no, but holidays are far too precious to give up for a day on the sofa!
sometimes I do enjoy that just chilling though. Work can get ridiculously busy and if timed right, a weekend just lazing around watching some boxsets or series marathons on TV/Netflix is just right.

Matty James has signed a new contract til 2021.
Been like a new signing so far this season after his return from injury. He and Ndidi look a good pairing and if Drinkwater does leave, may not be so bad with ready made replacement in James. Also got Iborra to start playing when he recovers from his groin injury.

Football tomorrow, sod all Sunday, maybe some shopping and drinking on Monday and got a day off Tuesday because I fancied it. Will likely do sod all.
I do this with my annual leave allowance from work. It's quite generous so my girlfriend and family always ask why am I taking a certain day or 2 off.
Because I can!

They both exchange on loan deals but with an option to buy at the end of the season. If Kondogbia is anything like he was at Sevilla, there's no doubt Valencia will activate that option.
agree with this. shocked Inter letting him go. Then again, Cancelo is a half decent exchange as a RB was needed for their side.

The Welsh team had a few players who the rest of the squad were in absolute awe of. They had team spirit and were happy just to be outside.
England haven't had good team spirit since Gazza was arranging night's out before a game
reminds me of this I saw the other day
QuoteGazza has claimed he once spotted Sir Les's 'thing' in the dressing room, and was so impressed he asked to 'have a hold'
Speaking to fans at a charity event, the former Newcastle, Rangers and Tottenham star explained how he “played a blinder” after the first time he touched it, so it became a pre-match ritual.
“He made mine look small,” chuckled the Geordie. “I went ‘Les, Les please, please let me have one f***ing hold of that thing’.
“So he let me have a hold of it. And I went out played a blinder and scored, right. I thought ‘f***ing brilliant’.”
The 50-year-old was speaking at an ‘Evening with Gazza’ at Nine Sports Bar in Newcastle.
“Every time we played for England, Les went ‘hurry up and get it over with Gazza'."
For Les’s sake, we hope he didn’t try to thank him after the game.

My initial thought was shock but then I spent time trying to think of someone else worthy of an England call-up that hasn't been picked and I come up with very few names. Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley are injured, Jack Wilshere's returning from injury and slapping teenagers and that leaves the likes of James Ward-Prowse, Mark Noble and the like.
good point.

'Deserved'
He's played what 2 games for you?
The bias of football fans is unrivalled. (I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a call up - but just funny how as soon as a player joins a club/plays a few games, there are calls for a national team call up from those fans)
Not said on here, but I've called for him to be in the England squad since last season. So not just since he joined us.

Deserved. Maguire called up to England squad.

To be honest I'd rather have a keeper that can stop shots well than kick well as opposed to the other way round.

What an inspirational signing, from third choice at Southampton to third choice at Spurs.
He can add Champions League experience to his CV.

fair enough, I don't watch much Dutch League football so found it hard to compare as it is!
