definitely agree. Seen the effect it's had on Bangladesh's game in all forms and as you say will only be good for the game.

Reading this bit:
QuoteIf he were to wake up, he would not be able to think, eat, talk, walk or even recognise people,
got me welling up. to think of what kind of career he might have had ahead of him as well

I saw West Indies surprisingly beat India in the T20 match on Sunday But in the ODI series India demolished us. India are a seriously great cricketing country, sometimes it feels like they have too much talent for their own good haha, kind of like Spain and Germany in football
we were doing well with our openers in the T20 but then massively collapsed. You smashed us.

That and of course roti are two of my favourite things to eat, really I also love the Indian sweets like barfi and kurma...when my friends who are Hindu have prayers or anything like that I always ask them to bring me some.
A popular breakfast over here is what we call "sada" roti, which goes with virtually anything and tastes really great. I'm not sure if you'd know about it, because I think this is our own creation too ( though I'm not sure ), but this is it:
not heard of 'sada' roti but maybe it's called something else.
So many of my work friends (who are mainly British) love when I bring Indian food in to the office. They're like vultures. Whether it's hot food like samosas or spring rolls or cold food like the sweets you mention, they absolutely adore it.
Living alone means I don't get to have my mother's roti as regularly as I used to

I read yesterday that there's no long-term damage for his heart, so that's good news already. His preliminary brain scan doesn't show any signs of damage either, but of course they can only confirm it once he's fully awake... It looks like this could end much much better than similar cases in the past, fingers crossed!
that's very good news if true and warming to hear.
wonder how this incident will affect him in his career going forward now. Will surely get regularly monitored for the foreseeable future as the risk it will happen again has probably increased significantly.

Nouri to be taken out of coma. Just hope he isn't too badly injured internally or physically.

According to BBC, will discuss his future after the pre-season tours of Australia and China

QuoteMesut Ozil says he wants to stay at Arsenal and will discuss his future with the club after a pre-season tour of Australia and China.
The midfielder, 28, is under contract with Arsenal until 2018 but speculation over his future has been widespread.
"It is definitely my preference to stay," the German said on Wednesday.
"Once everyone is back in London, we will sit down and discuss the future. I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal."
Arsenal face Sydney FC on Thursday (11:00 BST) and Western Sydney Wanderers (11:00 BST) on Saturday before heading to China for two further games.
Arsene Wenger's side meet Bayern Munich (12:20 BST) on 19 July in Shanghai and Chelsea (12:40 BST) on 22 July in Beijing before returning to England.
"For now the most important thing is our pre-season and getting through the tour, training and getting fitness," added Ozil, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42.4m in 2013.
"I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal."

43 year old left wing-back Ze Roberto is still going strong . He plays for Palmeiras.
On a lesser note, Rafael Sobis also still playing and is even more lazier than he used to be!

Think we were in for him a couple of summers ago and I'd have loved him here purely based on football manager reasons. Can't say I've seen a lot of him since or any mention of him since tbh
