  1. The conclusion being that @Rucksackfranzose is a bot...
  2. Yep, meant Norwich need 1 win as opposed to 1 point. But one of those teams will pretty much be knocked out of the race tonight as they play each other.
  3. A few weeks ago I think that would have held some relevance, but with Norwich only needing a point to secure playoffs, I don't think they're as tough as first thought. Ipswich are well rested too considering they had a weekend off. I think they'll beat Coventry but perhaps draw with Hull. What I have learnt though is that just because teams have nothing left to play for in terms of playoffs or survival, they can still throw up a surprise of a performance. So yeah, who the fuck knows what will happen
  4. Good call, fair play. Russell Martin coming under a lot of scrutiny now. He was absolutely broken after the game!
  5. Did not expect to match Arsenal's scoreline when it was only 2-0 after 74mins.
  6. Just seen the Arsenal score I'm guessing Chelsea are just absolutely battered after the weekend
  7. Bloody needed that 2nd goal. Thought Ndidi should have been brought off just before
  8. Slight offside in the build-up. But we've been dominant and deserve the lead. Expect Southampton to come out firing 2nd half so just need to keep our cool and not lose our heads. Ref has been shocking though, in our favour. Giving an offside for a bizarre Fatawu volley clearance that went backwards was amusing. Never a foul in the build up to the goal, however.
  9. 100%. Massive Italian community and one of the largest in Europe outside of Italy itself. It's a very well-respected community, too, given the amount of small businesses/restaurants/shops that are in & around the town. There's some highly-rated Italian restaurants so if anyone ever does visit to explore it I'm happy to give recommendations. Others are just run-of-the-mill but still good.
  10. Great news for Villa. Emery extends contract til 2027. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c6pyddj6z8ro
  11. Summerville quality there. Gnonto finishing off the move. Brilliant game. Gnonto miles offside. Linesman has had a shocker. Not even close.
  12. One job, Boro. One job. How bad do you have to be to let Bamford score.
  13. Booo. Silly challenge from Dijksteel. Clinical penalty from Summerville.
  14. Also, we're talking several years through mid-90s all the way through to early 2010s that Man Utd built up a resentment within fans. Man City aren't anywhere near that yet. Man City can plead relevance and fans can wish for hatred towards them, but there just isn't the time built-up to hate them that much just yet. There's a valid dislike for what they do, but there's quite an intrinsic difference as to where that comes from - it's all off the pitch. Anyone disliking Man Utd from that time period is predominantly based on their success and arrogance from what they did on the pitch.
  15. Week 36 Results Kaiserslautern 1-1 Wehen Aberdeen 3-3p Celtic Leicester 2-1 West Brom Man City 1-0 Chelsea Lyon Women 3-2 PSG Women Perth Glory 3-4 Western United Houston Dynamo 0-1 Austin FC Coventry 3-3p Man Utd Union S-G 1-2 Club Brugge Real Madrid 3-2 Barcelona Round-up A total of 39 goals across 10 fixtures - goalfests despite two matches only having 1 goal in them. Two others were cup semi-finals that ended in penalty shootouts after 3-3 draws after extra-time, and in Australia there was a 7-goal thriller. The weekend rounded off with a 3-2 win in El Clasico - only @CaaC (John) got this as a perfect score, helping to solidify 2nd place. @Rucksackfranzose did well to get 13 points and that meant he overtook @Bluebird Hewitt and is now level with @Viva la FCB. @Tommy is just behind them and one good week could propel him up further...
  16. A dramatic weekend with some thrashings handed out on one day, and plenty of controversy the next day! Sheff Utd and Luton were the biggest losers, literally. Being on the end of 4-1 and 5-1 thrashings respectively hasn't helped their survival course. Sheff Utd are pretty much relegated with needing to overturn a 10-point gap in 5 games, even if they do still have to play the two sides directly above the relegation zone for now. Luton have a much better chance of survival despite their loss, with only being 1 point off survival and still have to play Everton at home... It's looking likely that Burnley vs Forest on the final day could be a relegation showdown... Everton and Sheff Utd involved in their games-in-hand - both against top 6 opposition. Now would be a great time for Everton to pick up a Merseyside derby win, but if they don't, their next 3 are against relegation rivals as an equally good chance to pick up points...
