  1. Week 37 Results Jahn Regensburg 1-1 Dresden Bayern Munich 2-1 Frankfurt Edinburgh 1-3 Stirling City Fenerbahce 2-1 Besiktas Juventus 0-0 AC Milan Chelsea Women 0-2 Barcelona Women Amiens 0-0 Troyes Schalke 1-1 Dusseldorf Connah's Quay 1-1 TNS Real Betis 1-1 Sevilla Round-up The personally selected fixtures threw up some tough games to guess for, as there were 6 draws in total, and two of them being goalless. However, two members did predict those goalless draws, and interestingly all players who did predict all got 1 perfect score which doesn't happen too often. Highest score came from @CaaC (John) with 13 points, while @Viva la FCB in 3rd scored 1 fewer point.
  2. GAME 129 - PLYMOUTH vs HULL - SATURDAY 4th MAY, 12.30 (BST) GAME 130 - SHEFF UTD vs NOTTM FOREST - SATURDAY 4th MAY, 15.00 (BST) ***any predictions made after kick-off will not count*** @Mel81x @Lucas @6666 @Dr. Gonzo @Michael @Redcanuck @CaaC (John) @Devil-Dick Willie @JoshBRFC @Viva la FCB @Pyfish @Bluewolf @Tommy @Rucksackfranzose
  3. Two more derbies to pick through and we only had winners for one of them. Game 127 was where it was at, with a 15th-minute first goal: 1 point 2 points Game 128 was also in first half, but in the 38th minute. No winners. Table after Game 128: @6666 extends his lead to two points, and @Lucas jumps up into 3rd with his 2 points and is now only 3 points behind the leader.
  4. I can't see where Young plays the ball but I thought they were meant to stop with the nicknames?
  5. Depends on situation. Probably lowball but not take the absolute piss. Somewhere in between £335,000-345,000. You'd like to think the sellers would have factored that in, too.
  6. Another points deductions for insolvency? Only seen the headline so guess there's a lot more context to that potential.
  7. We definitely did need the money but losing Tielemans on a free was bad management from us. Same as Soyuncu too. Yep. I'd love him to stay. Not ready for him to leave if he does this summer.
  8. Not sure it'll be that good a return with an imminent points deduction looming and having to sell some key players to bring the money in. Gonna have to have a very good summer recruiting...
  9. Yes? Why can't I still do that but be happy that we're back in the Premier League ? Bizarre point to make.
  10. Up as Champions. Breaking some records in the process. Happy days!
  11. Yeah it's one thing being debated - the top clubs will be able to spend freely like they have been. Can see it leading to more US and Saudi owners...
  12. Yeah it's a step in the right direction. If it's any higher, like 5x, then only Chelsea have to cut their spending. Higher than that, at 6x, then everyone continues to spend like they have been.
  13. Liverpool Home: Barcelona Home: Arsenal Home: Bayern Home: Man Utd home: Inter Milan Home: AC Milan Home: Bayer Leverkusen Home: Dortmund Home: PSG home: Newcastle Home:
  14. Hard to say given the fees involved at each time for each manager. Fergie and Wenger could pick a world class player for about £20-30m (or maybe less). But the same standard of player perhaps costs double that (or more!) for today's managers. Thierry Henry, for example cost about £15m? So I'd probably pick one of those two. Fergie at a push as he won more.
  15. Sometimes it's seemed like he's the only sane and reliable Chelsea defender out there, but I expect some of the other players to now step up for Chelsea with him going
  16. Two more survivors to add to the least, and the relegation battle is now whittled down to just 3 teams. Everton survive thanks to imperious home form, gaining 9pts and conceding 0. The latter of those 3 wins was beating Brentford, who also survived despite that defeat thanks to Luton losing at Wolves. Sheff Utd can say bye to the Premier League and hello once again to the Championship as their relegation was confirmed after a resounding defeat (again) at Newcastle. They're on course to break all kinds of unwanted records. The points deduction looms large over Nottm Forest - everyone hopes the decision can be sorted out before the end of the season. Especially as it could all boil down to their last game at home to Burnley to decide the final spot. Luton have a great chance to grab a win and 3 more valuable points at home to Everton on Friday night.
  17. Five into 2 doesn't go...we come down to the final day of the season and as ever, drama becks in the Championship fight for survival. Sheff Weds were the only side in the bottom 5 to win, and it was much needed to gain ground & pull away. They only need 1 point to survive, as do Blackburn. Then it's between Plymouth & Birmingham for the final spot and it may well come down to goal difference in Argyle's favour. However, the same cannot be said for Huddersfield as they would need an almost impossible swing of 15 goals to go their way as Plymouth lose in order to survive. Next Games: Leicester vs Blackburn Sunderland vs Sheff Weds Plymouth vs Hull Birmingham vs Norwich Ipswich vs Huddersfield Permutations: - Blackburn and Sheff Weds just need 1 point to survive, regardless of other results - Plymouth need to win to guarantee survival. A draw is only good enough if Birmingham draw/lose - Birmingham can draw and hope Plymouth lose by 4. A win will be enough if Plymouth draw/lose or one of Sheff Weds/Blackburn lose
