I tried to get into mad men but just couldn't see the appeal.

Made the brutalising call over the weekend to subject myself to a full re-watch of Game of Thrones from the start of season one. Amazing how many little references now make sense now after being so much more familiar with the back stories and fan theories... so many little seeds being cleverly planted in the dialog even in the first episode. Top show. And even better in those early seasons before it become obsessed with trying to constantly outdo itself and surpass the highs of previous seasons.

Anybody here read audio books Pitt e books? Or only hard copy?

Geez everyone is watching mr robot now. I'd better get with the program. Good shout on stranger things. Really cool show and gives you massive 80's nostalgia in a way i hadn't felt since my first time watching Freaks and Geeks (essential viewing for anyone who hasn't seen it).

Zelda, breath of the wild. Absolutely awesome game. Worth buying the console just for that.

Am halfway through book 4 now and it is heating up. Definitely shaping up to be a very solid series now! A whole vivid world just as immersive as Game of Thrones.

Didn't ghost busters start out as a Saturday night live sketch before becoming a movie? It's amazing how many great comedy actors have come up through Saturday night live. Everyone from Chevy Chase to Tina Fey and everyone in between. Almost every great American comedian i can think of made their way into the industry through SNL.

Taken last weekend

Star wars the force awakens. 6.5/10. A nice film but Too much like the original. To much of an unexplained gap since the 6th episode. And lots that doesn't make sense. Like Luke going to brood over losing one jedi by sitting for a decade on a island on a lone planet.

The Emperor's New Groove. 8/10. This guy is a great side character.

Watched an ep last night. So far so good. The lead is quite charismatic. And the sidekick is a familiar face from the mighty ducks days. Will stick with it i think. For the record though as far as super heroes go i find even a mutant spider bite more plausible than a blind man with good hearing being basically able to see through sonar....

Harry Potter and the philosophers stone. Enjoyed it a lot more than the first time i saw it all those years ago. 7/10

You're saying just one such occurrence? The ramsay letter? At this point the show has diverged massively from the books imo to the point they're almost completely different.

Anyone here well enough familiar with the full gamut of comic book tv shows that have emerged in recent years....? Daredevil, flash, gotham, arrow, marvel shield, etc. Too many to count. I wouldn't have a clue where to start with all these and i definitely don't have time for all of them.... Despite being abit sick of comic book movies being the only type of movie out there these days, and not keen to see that roll over into tv also I'm willing to give one of them a go. Is it Daredevil that's meant to be the best of the bunch.

Re reading Wilbur Smith. The Courtenay series. Absolutely brilliant. Also slowly working my way through the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I'm told by so many that it knocks a Song of Ice and Fire out of the park but I'm at book four and I'm definitely not feeling that just yet....

Recently caught up to date with Peaky Blinders, Vikings, Sherlock. All really good. Loved the final episode of Sherlock in particular. That was legitimately scary.
