Disagree with you guys. League Cup still counts for something. If winning that was Liverpool's only real sign of progress this season it would alleviate any pressure on Klopp for me.

Love how bold this post is and how this guy sticks to his guns. I'm not going to say that I agree with the sentiment that Salah didn't improve Liverpool, along with some other arguments posited in this post, but I would like to offer the forum fair warning that, if the opportunity presents itself, at appropriate times throughout the season, I may be lending my voice in support of @The Liquidator's views on Liverpool in the hope that we can convert these views from something that gets laughed off to something that can lead to some occasional minor rattlage and semi-regular unnecessary debate. Fair warning, that is all.

All of you need to grow up. Don't expect to have to be exposed to bickering like this during my 6 weeks off .

@Marc disgraceful behaviour.

I'm not sure Leicester really ever softened their stance on Mahrez but if they left it long enough to sell knowing he won't renew his contract you reach a point where the players value is going down, they don't want to be there and you need to move on. I don't know what Maguires contract situation is, I don't think we'll see this move happen in January, maybe next summer. If Mourinho is a memory by then though like many of us predict then United's targets could have completely changed again by then anyway.

Is it a reliable report that Boateng would have been interested in going to United but he didn't want to play under Mourinho?
-
Kvyat won't get a Ferrari drive alongside Vettel surely. Might be a shout for Haas though.
-
Yeah I think if you call someone a melt, say they're making themselves look like a twat and that you hope they live on the streets I'd be getting pretty touchy too but that's just my opinion.

How does someone come out with shit like this unprovoked against an admin then complain he gets picked on by the staff?

What was the fee for De Gea @Teso dos Bichos?

Classic FM tactics from @The Palace Fan. Two of my three housemates are Chelsea fans. Watched the end of the game with them tonight. Asked them where they think they'll finish this season and they said smart money is on another 5th/6th but they wouldn't bet on it. That Champions Cup thing is so utterly stupid. I can't remember a Premier League club having a pre season friendly between the Community Shield and opening game. You could tell it was a pointless exercise by how both teams played. Anyway, Chelsea look really incomplete to me. Despite that I think due to circumstances elsewhere they still have a chance of top four this season. Arsenals business doesn't convince me and nor does Emery so for me it's a toss up of which one of the two clubs finishes above the other. Spurs and United could go either way for their own reasons so could see Chelsea 3rd or 6th in my opinion.

I forgot about Russell and jumped Norris into his position as a junior driver. You're absolutely right. With Russell affiliated to Mercedes I can see them parachuting him into a Williams for next year in that case. Unless they no longer have Mercedes engines in which case fuck me for forgetting and being too lazy to check. Either Alonso does another year at McLaren then or Vandoorne survives one more year.

Saw that Hamilton post on Twitter. Didn't turn the volume on, he's a weird cunt . Next years grid though: Mercedes - Hamilton and Bottas Ferrari - Vettel and Leclerc Red Bull - Verstappen and Gasly Renault - Ricciardo and Hulkenberg Haas - Magnussen and Ocon Force Canada - Perez and Stroll McLaren - Sainz and Norris Toro Rosso - Hartley and some rookie Sauber - Giovinazzi and Ericsson Williams - Sirotkin and someone else with money.

Schneiderlin, Keane and Jagielka need replacing from today's line-up. Obviously Pickford will play instead of Stekelenburg. Hopefully Holgate will replace one of the centre backs and a new signing will partner him but if those three are anywhere near our team for more than a bit part role this season we will struggle to get 7th. The rest I thought played pretty well. However their backup options (Sandro, Davies, Calvert-Lewin, Dowell, Lookman) looked very limited in their admittedly short time on the field. I think nearly all of these players have reached an age where they have to show that they're good enough this season or we have to accept that they probably need moving on. There isn't room for sentimentality in a 25 man squad if you want to be serious about challenging the top six. One of the reasons for bringing in a real Director of Football and a manager like Silva is that it allows him to actually be a coach, and he's supposed to be good at it, so these young lads have no more excuses for stalling in their development this season. Today was better than the rest of pre season but it's still a massive concern that we conceded 4 against Rennes, 3 against Blackburn and 3 against Valencia that have all been down to poor defending, individual or team. Not a single one of those goals could be put down to pre season rust or players getting used to each other. It is a problem which we need to solve by 5pm Thursday.

Team talks and press conferences, if implemented well, might be cool, tactics I can't see being much better than they currently are but I'll happily be proven wrong. UEFA tournaments will be cool but stuff like cut scenes and customisable managers really doesn't appeal to me.
-
2-2 Equaliser from Michael Keane, obviously.
-
Everton 1-2 Valencia after 25 minutes. We've arguably been the better side but our Sunday League defence continues to become a parody of itself. Michael Keane was a worse signing than Davy Klaassen.
-
That's a massive shock and a huge gamble from Daniel. Unless he knows something about what they've got in the pipeline for next year like Lewis did when he left a seemingly more competitive McLaren team for Mercedes. Gasly to Red Bull looks a good bet. I wish someone like Hulkenberg would get an opportunity in that car though... Alonso to Red Bull even? One last roll of the dice to try and get a third championship?

Feel sorry for Benitez. He could quit out of protest but it's so clear that Mike Ashley won't change that he can't even comfort himself with the slight possibility that walking away could be the only thing he could do to incite a change.

Shame about Vlasic who looked good when he joined but seemed to get worse with every game he played. Sums up the Walsh/Koeman approach. Oh he played well against us in a Europa League game we should probably buy him. Embarrassing. Williams another shite signing who was passable for about 6 months but is now a 33 year old eating up at least 80k a week with multiple years left on his contract. Superb long term planning from old Ron and Steve. Mirallas being around the club is also their responsibility. Gave the lad a five year contract because why? Martina also a laughable signing. Couldn't make Southampton's bench so an absolute disgrace he ended up starting a dozen games for Everton last season after we spent all that money and ended up with him as our second choice left back. This one sort of gets a pass as he was a free transfer and the lad did okay on occasion but nowhere near good enough for Everton. It's amazing that some of our fans expect Brands and Silva to just be able to come in and start sorting this out in one or two transfer windows. People that support other clubs and even some Everton fans don't realise just what a good job Walsh and Koeman managed to do in three transfer windows of fucking the club for the next several years. The bad signings last summer were bad enough but look at some of the contracts handed out to average or shite players and it just beggars belief that these two were ever allowed to have so much control over finances.

Ferrari are bastards bringing Kimi in early to disrupt Bottas in his fight for second with Seb. Worst part is it ended up to Kimi's benefit as he ended up on the podium and didn't lose time from his extra stop because Bottas was so slow fighting Vettel. However on another day forcing Kimi to two stop would have cost him a position to Max if the Red Bull didn't break down, it's shitty that they're willing to sacrifice his race that much just to force Mercedes hand with Bottas. Cunts.
-
Bastards. Poor Bottas .
-
The second incident was Bottas' fault even if it's down to his tyres and damage more than bad driving. Vettel on Bottas was reckless driving from Seb. Plenty of overtaking into turn two all race, Vettel is the only one who doesn't leave a sensible amount of room on the inside. Reckless driving when it's clear how bad the other guy's tyres are and he's lucky not to get a puncture himself.
-
Let me guess, that was Valtteri's fault was it?
