Like you said, every place comes with its own set of issue when it comes to house ownership. I just spoke about things after you purchase the property but there are so many other issues before purchase like paperwork, lawyer issues, etc. It really teaches you the importance of being thorough about things you'd take for granted in places like the US and Europe.

It really all depends on what running costs are because things tend to break down due to sometimes poor infrastructure and an even poorer outlook on weather conditions. Taking a simple example, the transformer that powers the grid system near the house goes down like clockwork every 45 days and they've replaced the stupid thing atl east twice in the year. While that seems like a minimal cost it comes at the expense of time and money which isn't just a direct cost of replacement parts but "padding" the gentleman's pocket so he can come look at the problem without fixing it. I think owning a house comes with a larger set of issues vs renting personally but then I look at the flipside and paying a rent which could be offset on a home-loan within the same duration I'd stay in the house and the math favors getting a house. Is the money just sitting around for expenditure? Not really but then again we're both blessed with the fact that the jobs we had were doing well even through a period where a lot of folks were getting salary cuts and laid off. Could I have walked away with a cheaper home in the place I live in? Yes by atleast 50% of what I paid here but then again I work here (or atleast used to) so I don't think it would have worked out for me long term. The other property I own is beachside and that thing sucks money annually due to upkeep. If I could do it all over again I'd never buy a house near the ocean.

im watching it this Friday with some friends and family. They definitely have no idea what its about but in the spirt of halloween coming up they've decided it okay for me to choose a movie.

It shocking how many folks actually do this the more I think about it. Covid certainly helped the cause as well because a lot of folks left big cities and went home so it only solidified this.

Life Update: As of last month, I now own a place, fully paid for, in Bangalore. It's a 3BHK but with the way real estate is skyrocketing in the city it felt like the right time to get a place considering this place is literally going to be hard to get a place to rent in the next 5 years for folks working here. I will say this, I wish I had done this five years ago versus now but having poured money into a house at home it didn't seem feasible. The house itself came up to 250K USD and judging by the market and how places are going for even more now (upwards of approx. 600K) if you want to live anywhere near the city it seemed like a steal.

I'd imagine that will never ever come to light. I doubt they'd be stupid enough to leave anything around for that to be validated.

I fail to understand how an offense committed in Italy can incur a world-wide ban? Is it the fact that they were in Italy when it happened? so now they must do the time because of that? Bit confused.

This made me a little sick and only because of Kotick. When M$ were originally asked what would happen to Kotick when the acquisition went through the answer was something on the lines was "business will go on as usual". I tried to avoid Google potential questions but as we move forward it might get a bit harder. The Rules or How does this work? For people who haven't played before the game is very simple, there will be 10 questions asked per round and they may have multiple answers. The goal is to try and answer like the rest of the players. An example is, What is a common accompaniment with eggs for breakfast? And if you and 5 other people answer "beans" then you get 6 points. If your answer doesn't match anyone else's then you get one point. The idea is to gain as many points and get to the top of the list to be the Sheepiest of the lot. If there is ambiguity in the question, as is sometimes the case, I will put specific instructions next to the question as I know some of these can be close in wording and I try my best to group them together. With these kinds of demands I can't see this going away till around early December. This isn't going to sit well with the Palestinians and they'll retaliate for sure. Leaving that area allows Israeli occupation and they just wont allow it.

I'd wait for a price-drop and then get it. The only reason I even started playing it is because I was fascinated by why everyone thought this was better than a FromSoftware game. TBF to the devs they've done a really good job and I like how the little environmental objects help you learn as time goes on but after what FS did with Elden Ring they set a very good tone for how these games should really be made. I'd even go so far as to say if you haven't played Bloodborne and you like this kind of game give that a play-through. Easily in my top ten games.

As it went on I quite liked it honestly. The combat system is good and although I always feel like these games almost suck because of the PS5 controller (that trigger is weird) I still think its a great game to play. Is it better than Elden Ring? Not really, even if folks tell you so. But, its a great game nonetheless.

Summed up what I wanted to say about the entire information passing. It's so odd that it's come out and then the discourse around it and back and forthing. What's also odd is how so many platforms have been dragged into this mess now for false news and only one has been taken to court. The fact that CNN hasn't seen any real legal ramifications for what they did speaks volumes to how the media is playing this game for whatever side of the fence they want to sit on.

Thought this was disputed as false and even if they were given the intel, it really does give them an open invitation to retaliate which they'd definitely use to their benefit.
