  1. I've picked up the new Tomb Raider game but honestly haven't even had time to play it because I am trying to finish Spiderman to the most that I can before moving on. Anyone else given it a run?
  2. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/09/valve-reveals-just-how-many-pc-gamers-plug-in-gamepads-and-which-kinds/?comments=1 While I can certainly say that the 360 wired controller was one of the better PC gaming peripherals I have ever used the new One controllers have been abysmal with a lot of games in terms of configuration especially if the development teams never gave two shits about it. Its not the end of the world really since you can write configuration files for usage. The PS4 controller isn't half bad either considering Sony has a configuration file you can tack onto any game to make it play and map a lot better.
  3. https://www.givemesport.com/1391318-jurgen-klopp-caught-up-with-fabinho-after-only-playing-him-for-one-minute-vs-psg If he turns out to be anything like Robertson or any other player we've had to patiently wait to see better integrated then it will be worth it.
  4. Go to Assassins Creed. If you've played any of the original Uncharted games Legacy will seem like poop and you just finished the Last of Us so yeah AC all the way.
  5. Andy put his shorts in the wash I don't think Mbappe is ever coming out the same again.
  6. After spending some time with this new Spiderman game I have to say its very very good. The little side missions you can run to while swinging around New York City and the plethora of options for attacking situations is quite cool. Plus they have a well built skill-tree that actually makes you think twice about the pathing you wish to take when upgrading (much like the Batham game - Arkham Asylum). Worth the money imo because you can clock some good hours in it if you want to go hunting for bonuses and play all the mini-games.
  7. I second this suggestion times 1000. Great game.
  8. Any here you were worried about playing games with one hand. And people say video-games ruin the mind.
  9. Anyone planning on playing the new Spiderman game thats out this week? I've only been reading good reviews about it so far. Friday I'll give it a try.
  10. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/aug/30/phil-neville-england-women-know-players-lives?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other Didn’t know he was the England national manager
  11. I thought the Japanese team that won the WC in 2011 was very good. I remember watching Ohno and Sawa (or Sanwa) being instrumental in midfield against the US to the point where it was actually a good show of competitiveness. They did go back to the finals in the Canada but that US team was far better and ran them over before they even got a foot in the game. It's also interesting to see the way in which the sport has shaped with the US and Canada being quite important during the founding stages and making sure it got to the level that it finally did.
  12. That is some dedication and arrangement for one person.
  13. Plenty fine for CSGO because it has some easy to render stuff, you just wont be playing it some ridiculously high reso.
  14. Depends on how comfortable you are boosting certain parts of your chip config. Having said that I think some games (AAA titles) will be okay. Its those indie titles you need to watch out for. Poor AMD support, lackluster thought behind user-base, etc. What kind of games are you planning to play?
  15. https://arstechnica.com/science/2018/08/stinky-festering-sewage-now-21st-century-artifact-watch-the-livestream/ I don't get it but then again I suppose some people find this interesting for it to be on display.
  16. Just saw that Klavan has signed a move to Cagliari? Interesting that considering we're quite thin at the back. I am going to assume that what the manager has seen in pre-season and the first game led to him saying he could go as well. I thought he was actually a better pairing with VVD than some of the others.
  17. Was the previous version balanced? I don't think so but I could be wrong considering that has been around for donkeys years now on the low circuit.
  18. Id say give Dead Cells a look. Played it on Steam so no interest on going for it on my Switch anymore but its very good. Of course I say this because I play anything that has the word Castlevania in it and I don't mean the new ones but the older side-scrolling platformers
  19. Built a Raspberry Pi box just for that alone haha. Some of the games from that era are still top-notch and full of entertainment. Played a PSOne emulator classic Castlevania : Symphony of the Night some months ago, what a blast from the past.
  20. https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/ikaruga-switch Got this today on the Switch. Its an overhead shooter with a bit of a twist and yes its a classic. I remember playing this on the GameCube when it came out, pretty short but the real challenge is using the polarity switch to chain which isn't as easy as it looks.
  21. One day they'll have these things fight themselves so people can watch and enjoy the madness that ensues. What's very cool about this tech is that months ago (I am thinking 10 months) this thing couldn't even play DOTA much less make the kinds of ridiculous decisions its making now. If you have ever played DOTA watch the strategy this machine uses and the relentless pursuit it takes to fuck over its human opponents. I can't find a link to the original video suffice to say this thing didn't come out of the gate winning games like it is now, it learned that making trades on resource management versus ganking (ganging up on enemies) and spot hitting NPCs was the right thing to do, then it got smarter and decided to hit very early to see what would happen. When that failed after a few tries it then discovered the art of building up strategy points by amassing weapons on tracks and then it went to the amateur circuit to play against lower level DOTA players till it got to the video above. Someone rightly said it when this thing was showcased, "there is one thing this machine can do that a human can't. It just won't stop learning and its execution is flawless with whatever it learns".
