  1. I don't mind, just want Sauber to do well
  2. Brilliant by Leclerc! For the sake of Sauber I hope they'll manage to keep him for one more year, but after such performances that's probably unlikely and we'll get to see him in Ferrari next season...
  3. Oh, this FrenchGP should be fun - looks like it will be very wet for qualifying and likely for the race tomorrow, too!
  4. https://www.11freunde.de/artikel/mit-dem-zug-durch-russland Quite an interesting read!
  5. It's not a racing track, it's a suicide method Personally, Spa is the best for me, followed by Nürburgring.
  6. The winners: LMP1: #8 Toyota Gazoo Racing - Alonso, Buemi, Nakajima LMP2: #26 G-DRIVE RACING - Rusinov, Pizzitola, Vergne GT Pro: #92 PORSCHE GT TEAM - Christensen, Estre, Vanthoor GT Am: #77 DEMPSEY - PROTON RACING - Andlauer, Cambell, Ried Congratulations to everyone! Toyota, even if lacking any opposition, finally manage to beat themselves and the track to get the overall victory! Lovely night driving stints by Nakajima and Alonso saw them decrease the gap of the leading sister car and later overtake them, no technical issues, impressive reliability after all these years of breaking down. Also, it's good to see Rebellion on the podium at last too, good job with the car considering how they finished so far ahead of other privateers in LMP1. A brilliant 1-2 win for Porsche in GTE Pro, very happy with it, and it's even better that it's the cars with those legendary liveries that took it! The Pink Pig managed to hold the lead for about 18 hours, extremely clean racing, no mistakes, great stuff Rothmans livery car in second, just as legendary, and this is a great tribute to both the 917 and 956/962 Le Mans winning Porsches of the 70s and 80s... Very fitting for the 70th anniversary of the marque as well, love it! Also very happy for Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche winning their class, well deserved! This year's race won't go into the history books as one of the classics, but it still was good entertainment, glad to have watched it (almost all of it, haha) and am looking forward to next year already! Meanwhile, 60 days to go until the next round at Silverstone
  7. Less than 7 minutes to go! Hopefully the Bacon Brothers don't throw it away now!
  8. They apparently forgot to fuel WTF Toyota Wrong car though
  9. Personally, I'm not a fan of LMP1 in general, but this year paints a bad picture as after Porsche left, Toyota are the only manufacturer left and faces no competition from the privateers, so you're right that the class got little to no appeal. However, in previous years the race in all classes was decided in final laps, so there used to be plenty of excitement. There are new LMP1 regulations approved for 2020, which will see new kind of prototypes based on hypercars/concept cars coming in and more manufacturers returning, so this is more or less a transitional phase now. At any case, my primary interest is GT racing, and even if this year's race has been less dramatic than last year so far, it's still been very tight and competitive; after 18 hours of racing, 11 cars were still on the same lap with just seconds between them. The leading Porsche has been one lap ahead for a while due to safety cars, but other than that, there has been a close battle for the most of the field. Also in general, so many things can happen at any point during those 24 hours, there's usually so much drama, haha.
  10. Massive crash, Paul di Resta goes into a concrete wall head-on Driver ok.
  11. Haha, I don't really hate Toyota... but the way FIA/ACO/Toyota created the hype by marketing this as pretty much 24 Hours of Alonso has been really annoying in the last weeks. That, and I also like Rebellion and want them to win.
  12. Safety car mixed up things quite nicely in the GTE Pro; Porsche 91 has two Fords right behind it, this is going to be fun
  13. Hopefully a sign of things to come! Still over 5 hours left...
  14. Not yet, unfortunately At some point car 8 seemed to have some issues with the brakes, but nothing serious...
  15. Jesus Christ That's car 17 with punctured rear tires turning into a pile of fire and smoke while trying to make it back into the pits.
  16. Yes, still working on it in the garage...
  17. Unlucky safety car timing for them, dropped down to 9th and then fought back to 5th! Meanwhile, suspension failure car 94
  18. Hopefully not. I still expect both Toyotas to break down at some point 5 hours gone, less than two hours till sunset. First retirement of the race, ByKolles... https://streamable.com/o1090 GTE Pro battle is nothing short of amazing, it looks like they got the BoP spot on this time! Everyone is competitive, bar Aston Martin.
  19. Cheers! I have WEC abo, so I'm watching the main race stream on my laptop, and two onboard cameras on my phones (Porsche 92 and Ford 68)
  20. Half an hour to go until the start of the greatest race in the world!
  21. No rain, but poor track conditions and plenty of disruptions, including a lot of slow zones and full course yellows due to mostly minor accidents... Quali 2 was even red flagged, and only a few cars managed to improve their times on the final quali session. I honestly don't know how Bruni managed that pole lap on the first session, no one was able to get even close to it, the rest of Porsches, Fords, Ferraris, BMWs and Corvettes ran relatively similar lap times, and Aston Martin is just shite and 5 seconds off the pace... Updated BoP for the race sees added weight for Porsche and Ford (10 and 8 kg, respectively), Ferrari stays the same, Corvette and Aston gets lighter (5 and 10 kg).
  22. Yes, most of it, had it running on another screen parallel to football. Why?
