  1. It clashes with footy and with 24h Nürburgring... I'm setting up all streams on two laptops and a TV already, haha.
  2. FIA Formula 3 European Championship starts in about twenty minutes... First race weekend in Pau. Come on Mick! Best times in free practice, but unlucky to crash in the quali Hope for a good race for him though anyway. @Tommy where is Sophia Floersch? Thought she's going to drive there too?

    Animals

    Well, they're French after all...
  4. Yes, and not only that - he actually wrote it together with Rafael Honigstein, hehe... It went on sale yesterday: https://www.amazon.de/Weltmeister-ohne-Talent-Leben-Karriere/dp/386493057X I'm definitely getting it too
  5. None. I used to watch a lot of movies in the past, but now I prefer TV shows as the episodes are shorter and thus I can watch quite a few without sacrificing much time. Movies somehow require more focus, so I can't be bothered anymore usually.
  6. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, it's sad that it hasn't gotten more attention as it really is brilliant... Couldn't possibly add anything to your great Sir-Balonesque review, hehe... :D I really liked the Inuit angle of the story, it kind of gives a different view of the events and the monster; just like they said in that article, it surely was the scary antagonist for the British sailors stranded in the Arctic, but for the Inuits, it was a part of their mythology (based on their god of death?), sort of protecting them from the invading interlopers... Also, I was extremely fascinated by the historical accuracy of the show, from the actual names of the crew members to the technical details of the expedition, the show's gritty realism is amazing. As for potential season two, it seems like they are interested in running the series as an anthology, but they'd be covering a completely new story (also based on historical events) in a similar manner, but it surely will not be a continuation of this one! So each season = a standalone story. That could definitely work, and I think there are so many stories to tell...
  7. To be honest, I didn't even know YouTube Red existed until I found Cobra Kai... As for Miguel, I'd be disappointed if they made him a villain...I think his transformation towards the end of the season made sense, partly because of Johnny's karate teaching methods, but also because of Miguel's own daddy issues; he doesn't strike me as a douchebag so it would be quite a bit out of character, I think. I also hope that Cobra Kai crew will still be the main protagonists, and that the writers will not try to push the Larusso/Robby narrative as the new Mr. Miyagi/Daniel story instead. Kind of have a feeling that Larusso and Johnny might have to team up against the you-know-who (don't want to spoil it for someone else, hehe). The best overall transformation must be Hawk, hands down
  8. Oh sure, watched it as a kid growing up in the late 80s hehe. Also absolutely agree, the story and character development is brilliant, I personally found myself rooting for Johnny (quite a change from the original movie haha), but I love it how they chose to show all sides and angles of the story; that's probably the main reason why the show really works for me. Great news - I just read that the show is officially renewed for Season 2! Bad news - we'll have to wait until next year for it
  9. First car upgrades are coming out for Spanish GP. McLaren's new nose: Ferrari's new halo-mounted mirrors with winglets:
  10. Fuck off BVB. I hope we'll sell him to some English club for a ridiculous transfer fee instead Seriously, I don't think we'll let him go before World Cup, and I hope we won't settle for 15 million Euro.
  11. 24h of Nürburgring is coming up this weekend!!! Rain predicted, should be great, can't wait
  12. I stumbled upon it by accident and didn't really have any expectations at all, but was blown away by how good it actually is! Can't wait for Season 2, especially after that cliffhanger
  13. British Superbike? Never watched it, any good?
  14. Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Dovi crash together with only 8 laps remaining...
  15. Red Bull brought their old car and David Coulthard for some promotional demo in Vietnam on Friday. Hopefully, this is a part of marketing for the rumoured Vietnam GP which should bring F1 racing to the streets of Hanoi in two years time
  16. You can be sure the Germans haven't forgotten about the past because they are still being constantly reminded about it. Surely you can understand that most have absolutely no desire to dig deeper anymore and maybe are even annoyed by it because it has been rubbed to their faces for almost a century now? I honestly don't know of any country that has done more to acknowledge and memorialise the mistakes of its past than Germany. Most families harbour some sort of personal history from the war, the majority probably had family members that served as simple conscripted soldiers (no different from any other nation that was involved in war), some surely had family members that were at some point sympathisers or members of the party, much less had family members directly linked to the top tiers of the regime, etc. I think the current 30-40 year olds are the last ones who still know that part of the family history as we had our grandfathers living through that time and our parents born shortly after, so probably heard at least some of the stories growing up. I also think for the majority is simply a fact and not something you would over-analyse anyway.
  17. When you're done watching it all, read this interview: https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-terror-inside-the-making-of-tvs-most-terrifying-new-show (potential spoilers, so avoid it before you're done ) gives a nice look at the story of the monster, among some other things.
  18. Maybe after halo they'll make the car amphibious next
  19. I think it's shite. What are they going to do if there's a crash on the bridge? Push the wreck off?
  20. Both Porsche cars and Ford all pitted during the last safety car, and ever since then, #91 has been extremely off the pace and got overtaken by both Ford (amazing move by Olivier Pla in Eau Rouge) and Porsche #92, and now has just lost the podium to a Ferrari in the final lap too His tires are toast, right front side is completely gone, apparently.
  21. One of the Fords out, another crash at Eau Rouge... Luckily, driver is fine.
  22. Yes, the gaps in yesterday quali were surprisingly big, overall. Ford and Porsche are still pretty close, but I was surprised to see Ferrari so slow though, especially considering they won the whole thing last year; however, it looks like they are struggling with tyre wear, and they also lost some downforce advantage of their new Evo kit due to BoP, so I wouldn't expect them to be in their best form until later in the year. BMW and Aston Martin are most likely struggling with their new cars and are definitely off the pace. The initial BoP definitely has issues, but it's not surprising considering it's the first race of the season, and it will be adjusted as the season progresses. Pretty much none of the WEC races I've watched has been a borefest, haha. There's usually so much racing action on track between all four classes, it's Spa, and it's a 6 hour race, so a single lap pace doesn't really mean that much, there's always a reliability factor as well, and pretty much anything can happen... Also, I've been waiting for the new season for months, so don't piss on my parade now
  23. Are you kidding, the new teen audience has an attention span of a goldfish, they wouldn't manage to focus on something longer than half an hour...
