  1. Short holiday I can understand; many people have just limited time off each year, and sometimes they just want to spend it simply relaxing by the pool or beach, and only choose certain countries because of the weather, etc. It's all fine and I get it. But the dude has literally been traveling for over 6 months now, that's what baffles me.
  2. Bikepacking is not really my thing, but yeah, looks quite interesting... The people he talked to looked quite awkward and not particularly willing to engage though This reminded me of something though... I met a friend of a friend for a few beers today, as he's been traveling in SE Asia for a few months now and made it to my town today. Which in itself is of course cool, as traveling is great and all that, and there are of course many different individual ways of doing that. However, we got into a discussion as he mentioned he's not particularly interested in either sightseeing/nature or in bars/nightlife, not really keen on meeting the locals either, so it got me thinking - wtf is the purpose of that? You basically spend your time in hostels that are all the same, together with other European (or "Western" in general sense) people similar to you, you have to save money as your trip is long term so you need to budget your savings, and so you're not really indulging into food, drinks, or local culture at all. I feel like I'm missing the point somewhere here.

Yeah, and he also has great "friends" who can't stop laughing while he is obviously struggling to see and breathe. I mean, play stupid games, win stupid prizes, but you'd expect them to be concerned for him at some point?...

get your mind out of the gutter, Stan
  6. Yeah, and quite a few moments in his career where he was too aggressive that didn't end well, too Senna and Schumi were ruthless, and way too much at times. Hamilton was accused of being too aggressive when overtaking in the past. Vettel lost his cool numerous times. Same with Alonso. The difference is learning to keep it under control and take calculated risks, a lot of which does come with maturity.
  7. Maybe, maybe not. The number of races under one's belt is of course important and he's not a rookie anymore, but it's not a guarantee for maturity either, especially with all the media hype around him... If he realises that he only puts himself at a disadvantage with his actions, he's still young enough to turn it around. Whether or not Max manages to develop into a more level-headed driver is anyone's guess at this point; knowing his father, it's also easy to understand why people are having doubts haha, but I'm still not writing him off.
  8. Drop me a message if you need a link to a stream later, hehe. Otherwise, it's on Netflix.
  9. Yes, It's that old, a bit cheesy, 60s "family-friendly" feeling about it Love it. Definitely not for everyone, but I think it's a good Sunday afternoon family entertainment.
  10. Verstappen is still a young kid, just 20 years old, also missed on a few seasons in GP2 and GP3 since he got promoted so early, and in addition, he does not have the best genetic predispositions when it comes to temperament and anger management I personally love aggressive driving style, he just needs to learn to keep his cool and be more patient. If he manages that, he'll be a heck of a driver in a few years. Taking responsibility for his action after the race today is a good sign, hope he learns from this, would love to see someone as ruthless as him but with much better decision making on track.
  11. Yes, Verstappen was P3, Hamilton P4 just before the safety car!
  12. Yes, but once again poor strategy by Merc, they should have pitted Hamilton behind Verstappen...
  13. Thanks to that safety car, a boring race became a very entertaining one Happy for Ricciardo and especially for his mechanics, who did an unbelievable job yesterday to ensure he was able to take part in the quali at all, so this is so deserved for them.
  14. 10 episodes are out now! Just watched the pilot, and I'm actually surprised, didn't expect to enjoy it but I did Have you watched it yet?
  15. ADAC GT Masters first race in underway!
  16. They were struggling with tyres I think, but they are definitely not the fastest car on the grid anymore as well. It looks like Ferrari made an amazing job with the car; they have a much better grip, and they seem to have (almost?) caught up with Mercedes in terms of engine power too. Whatever it is, I'm happy as we're set for an exciting season, it seems!
  17. found one more, a very rare one of @Bluewolf and @SirBalon riding their motorbike before both got married and had to sell it
  18. That's not the final groups, just the seeding pots for the draw The groups will be drawn next month. Was just wondering what the general expectations are, is making the knockout stages on cards, or not really? Australia, Japan the favourites as usual, South Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia should be close too, but it would be nice too see some unexpected surprises instead.
  19. According to Sky and SportBild, Niko Kovac is set to become Bayern's next manager.
  20. Final seeding for the Asian Cup, the group draw will take place in Dubai on May 4th. A realistic opportunity for Thailand to reach knockout stages, hope for a good performance from Vietnam, too. India in Pot 3, thoughts on your chances @Mel81x?
  21. Salif Sané to Schalke is now officially confirmed, he'll join on a 4 year contract in summer.
