  1. Yes, Verstappen was P3, Hamilton P4 just before the safety car!
  2. Yes, but once again poor strategy by Merc, they should have pitted Hamilton behind Verstappen...
  3. Thanks to that safety car, a boring race became a very entertaining one Happy for Ricciardo and especially for his mechanics, who did an unbelievable job yesterday to ensure he was able to take part in the quali at all, so this is so deserved for them.
  4. 10 episodes are out now! Just watched the pilot, and I'm actually surprised, didn't expect to enjoy it but I did Have you watched it yet?
  5. ADAC GT Masters first race in underway!
  6. They were struggling with tyres I think, but they are definitely not the fastest car on the grid anymore as well. It looks like Ferrari made an amazing job with the car; they have a much better grip, and they seem to have (almost?) caught up with Mercedes in terms of engine power too. Whatever it is, I'm happy as we're set for an exciting season, it seems!
  7. found one more, a very rare one of @Bluewolf and @SirBalon riding their motorbike before both got married and had to sell it
  8. That's not the final groups, just the seeding pots for the draw The groups will be drawn next month. Was just wondering what the general expectations are, is making the knockout stages on cards, or not really? Australia, Japan the favourites as usual, South Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia should be close too, but it would be nice too see some unexpected surprises instead.
  9. According to Sky and SportBild, Niko Kovac is set to become Bayern's next manager.
  10. Final seeding for the Asian Cup, the group draw will take place in Dubai on May 4th. A realistic opportunity for Thailand to reach knockout stages, hope for a good performance from Vietnam, too. India in Pot 3, thoughts on your chances @Mel81x?
  11. Salif Sané to Schalke is now officially confirmed, he'll join on a 4 year contract in summer.
  12. Wow, what a talented girl. To think that someone her age races open wheel cars is already jaw dropping, but she also holds a FIA Formula 4 lap record at Okayama, and that's at 12 years old!!! Unbelievable.
  13. So now that Porsche are not competing in WEC's LMP1 category anymore, they decided to do some fun stuff with their three-time Le Mans and 6 times WEC title winning prototype car in a spectacular "what if" scenario to give it a proper send-off before retiring it completely, and sent Neel Jani to do a test lap on Spa with it. The result - a new unofficial circuit record of 1:41.7, but apparently their goal is 1:36, and they are planning to do the same on other classic circuits too. Next up is a demo lap on the Nordschleife next month just before 24 hours of Nürburgring, I wonder if they are going to beat Stefan Bellof's record too They went completely bonkers on the car and basically freed it of all fuel- and aero-restricting technical regulations (free fuel flow, larger front diffuser and larger rear wing with DRS, modified floor and added side skirts for more ground effect) so the 919 Evo is now lighter (849 kg, so 39 kg less), more powerful (720hp + 440hp from the hybrid system instead of previous 500hp + 400hp), and the downforce and grip level is just enormous (53% higher than previously, and higher than that of an F1 car), and even then it doesn't fully exploit its technical potential. Just take a look at the lap record video, the way it climbs up Eau Rouge/Raidillon is just unbelievable and the cornering speeds are incredible! This is so cool... I want Group C back...
  14. Gasly taking the piss out of Alonso "Now we can fight"
  15. Yeah, the English title and the description are just generic and sound stupid... Give it a go, I'm sure you'll like it.
  16. And enough titanium in his leg to set off security scanners at airports!
  17. @El_Loco Season Two is now out, and it's quality!
  18. The mechanic seems to be doing better!
  19. He underwent surgery in Bahrain, but it seems that Vettel helped organise his trip back with the private jet, so still very nice of him.
  20. For me, Márquez (yes, put the accent there for you ) is too reckless and too dangerous with his all-or-nothing mentality at times. There's being fierce and aggressive (you have to be if you want to win), and then there's taking it over the top - and he does it often, and did in lower classes already. Can be a loose cannon at times and put others in danger, somewhat similar to how Simoncelli was (RIP).
  21. It also probably has something to do with Rossi not really being known as a reckless dirty rider in general.
  22. Gotta love it how Rossi's garage told MM to fuck off though
