  1. RIP, a true hero A car carrying rescue volunteers fell off the cliff yesterday too; luckily no deaths, but one of the passengers is critically injured...
  2. Yes, 4 out officially confirmed by the governor and rescue chief in a press conference. The mission is stopped for at least 10 hours to refill depleted oxygen supplies. 90 divers working on it EDIT: 2 more kids are said to be safe in the base camp, but this is unconfirmed.
  3. Definitely driver of the day for me, great race from him today, except his poor start. Good race altogether, especially the Mercedes-Ferrari battle in the end. Gutted for Sauber though.
  4. Ericsson crashes out... After such a good last weekend, it's a blow now for Sauber... Safety car, lucky for Hamilton.
  5. Indeed, very poor start, losing his position to Vettel and then even more unlucky to get hit by Kimi, apparently he's got some damage too!
  6. 4th boy has now reached the cave entrance, 5th & 6th boys have reached the 3rd chamber (where the base camp is)! This is going better and faster than expected, hope the rest of them will be out soon, too!
  7. First two boys successfully rescued!!!
  8. I can't even imagine what their families are going through, it's a nightmare. First not knowing what has happened to them for over a week, then a huge relief as they are found safe and relatively healthy, and then a setback again as it becomes clear how complicated their situation and the rescue operation is... The only positive thing about this ordeal is the proof that people of different countries, cultures and backgrounds can come together and work towards a common goal when it truly matters, good to see that once in a while for a change. Hoping for some good news tonight; we're set for heavy rains starting Tuesday, fingers crossed this rescue mission works.
  9. Too risky to wait for them to finish constructing the escape pods and then fly to Thailand... Heavy monsoon rains are forecast and can strike any moment, the rescue team fears that the caves will be flooded again and with decreasing levels of oxygen, suffocation is a risk too. There are little official details of the rescue mission at the moment though as the media have all been moved away from the cave.
  10. The Thai cave rescue has officially started at 10am local time today... Best conditions for it, as the water levels dropped by another 30 centimeters, and some of the chambers are now passable without diving. Still, a monumental task for everyone involved. Each kid will be accompanied by two experienced divers, if everything goes well, first ones are expected to emerge at 9pm local time. Hope everyone makes it out alive and well...
  11. Both Saubers in Q2 Leclerc really is phenomenal
  12. I'm following it closely, they don't have much time left as monsoon rains are forecast for the weekend... Latest update from Thai sources says they possibly found chimneys 150-200m away from where the kids are stranded, that gives hope for oxygen supply at least...
  13. Depends on who we sign for defensive/central midfield, in my opinion. A quick look to the squad: GK: Pavlenka, Plogmann, Drobny CB: Veljkovic, Moisander, Langkamp, Friedl LB: Augustinsson, Friedl, (Beste, Jacobsen) RB: Gebre Selassie, Beijmo DM: Bargfrede, Käuper CM: Maxi Egesstein, Möhwald, (Mbom) FW/ST: Kruse, Osako, Harnik, Kainz, Rashica, Bartels, Jojo Eggestein, (Sargent) The team's looking good pretty much everywhere else, but we definitely lack and need improvements in the center of the pitch now that both Delaney and Junuzovic are gone. If Baumann signs the right players for it, I'm pretty positive about our prospects. If not... well, shouldn't be worse than a few last seasons...
  14. Yes indeed, let's hope that the West in the English speaking countries decide to assassinate yet another leader of an independent state and start yet another war based on assumptions and claims that so conveniently fit with the current political climate, all without producing any proper evidence. /s
  15. It gets even better in the next episode as the events unfold! Glad you liked it
  16. Nah, Schumi's birthday is on the 3rd of January...
  17. Our pre-season starts today... Baumann just confirmed in the press conference that we're looking to sign three more players for the first team - a backup GK and two midfielders. Kohfeldt intends to play bold, attacking football this season and develop a winning mentality within the team. I'm getting excited already!
  18. Still alive Everything's a bit erratic after moving and with WM going on, there's barely any time for anything else, haha. This place looks a bit empty lately
  19. Off topic, but do yourselves a favour and watch this incredible Monaco GP 1962 footage: It's stunning
  20. This turned out to be quite an entertaining race, I considered skipping it, glad I decided to watch it though. Well done Max for the win, good on him after that erratic start of the season and all those crashes, this is also the first ever Red Bull win in Spielberg, I think? Ferrari lucky with Mercedes strategy fuckup first and a double technical DNF later, this certainly spices up the championship again though with Vettel overtaking Hamilton and Ferrari overtaking Merc in constructor standings. Great race for Haas, P4 and P5, they seem to really have improved with the upgrade. Fantastic race by Alonso, P8 after starting from the pitlane. And last but not least, I'm absolutely chuffed for Sauber, finally both cars in points again, and only three points behind Toro Rosso in overall standings Gutted for Hartley though.
  21. BOTH SAUBERS IN POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
