  1. Yes, he already said that he was pushing too hard and that it's a big hit for his confidence This is definitely his last season at Mercedes one way or another, but he needs to pull himself together and get proper results to reserve himself a seat somewhere else. Underperforming in a vastly superior car puts enough pressure on him already.
  2. Bottas gets 5 place grid penalty, will start from 15th tomorrow.
  3. Haha, I don't really mind it, but I'm also used to it somewhat... Ernst Hausleitner and Alex Wurz is the best commentator duo for me, so there's that too. I had SRF stream running on another computer, and Swiss accent annoys me more than the Austrian one
  4. I turned on RTL at first, but it was so horrible I changed to ORF instantly
  5. Hamilton 6 tenths clear of Räikkönen, almost 7 tenths clear of Vettel, and almost 9 tenths better than his previous best laps... Sandbagging at its finest, here goes the hopes for a super-competitive season Magnussen beats Grosjean, Hülkenberg beats Sainz, both Haas beat Renault and will start in P5 and P6 Bottas crashes into the wall. Sauber surprisingly not last
  6. Yeah, IndyCar is testing it already. Definitely looks better than the halo...
  7. That's probably another indication that they intend to spend more time in the garage than on the race track As for the halo/overboard camera issue, I imagine they'd find a way to install the camera at a different angle to make it better for future races... but yeah, now it's just awful. They even had to change the position of start lights as the drivers weren't able to see it properly
  8. Force India have a flip flop sponsor on the halo...

That's on the same level as "I'm deleting my facebook" or the good old cryptic cliffhanger posts aka "life sucks", "why?..." or "so over it..." on FB that scream of attention seeking and nobody knows what the fuck is going on
  10. New VLN (or VLN Endurance Racing Championship Nürburgring) season finally starts tomorrow, after some fears that it would be delayed due to snowy weather. The first 4 hour race starts at 12pm CET, give it a go, one of the most exciting endurance racing series on one of the best racing circuits in the world Free legal stream on the official website https://www.vln.de or on youtube in English:
  11. When was the last time you were in Australia?
  12. Well Nostradamus, it seems like they are about to do it indeed https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/montoya-tipped-for-24h-le-mans-debut-with-united-autosports/
  13. Yes, and it seems that it will be accessible for both types of subscriptions - F1 TV Pro (full, live coverage, more expensive) and F1 TV Access (non-live, only data/radio commentary/race highlights, less expensive), so it's a good option for those primarily interested in the archive! Before the subscription website was taken down today, the price for the cheaper tier was 2.99€/month, so very fairly priced, in my opinion. Might be priced differently in other countries though (France's pricing was mad, full access at 170€/year compared to Germany's 65€ )
  14. Commercial free live coverage of each race, including all practice sessions, qualifying, pre- and post-race interviews and press conferences. Race coverage includes team radios, live data, on-board camera feeds from all 20 cars, and the possibility to split the screen for a custom head-to-head driver feeds. Plus live races of the main support series (F2, GP3 and Porsche Super Cup) and access to the video archive of of F1 races since 1981. Here's their promo:
  15. Granted, he also struggled in NASCAR (which is, in my opinion, an awful racing series, but driving heavy stock cars that are hard to handle is a difficult task nonetheless), but I think the whole culture there didn't suit him either, just like it was the case with him and F1 before that. Did well in IndyCar, and this is his first team in IMSA driving for Team Penske now, I'll keep an eye on him hehe. As for Senna, the drivers back then were a completely different breed, but so was motorsport in general. Raw racing, lack of safety, and completely different characters and attitudes. I think it's impossible to tell how certain drivers from the past would do in today's F1, but it's safe to say that it has become very different and has lost a big part of its magic.
  16. Both are too hot headed and lose their composure easily; unlike Crashtor Maldonado, Montoya's a good driver though
  17. Not too into the number of crashes rising by 150% in every race
  18. By the way, F1 TV subscriptions are already available and it should go on air tomorrow!
