  1. Not necessarily, Bremer SV offered him a contract already
  2. He said he wants to play football for one more year, it's not clear whether in Peru or Germany/Europe though. I think he'll stay in Germany long-term anyway, our management considers offering him some sort of position at the club after he retires too.
  3. A legend, but it's the right decision for the club, albeit not an easy one and it's sad to see him go. Should get a testimonial match after he finishes his active career.
  4. This looks very interesting, a comprehensive account of physics! A tough read though, I think?
  5. Haha, I'm sure it was out of frustration after yet another poor season by us, and granted, he was just as guilty for it as the other players in the team; quite a few blunders, complete lack of confidence, etc.
  6. I still remember you calling him the worst keeper in the league at one point Anyway, he was in an incredible form during the 2nd half of the season, and what's even more important, he always identified with the club... It's sad how players like that are being treated. I actually don't blame Nouri or Baumann & Co for looking for a better keeper if they think Wiedwald was too inconsistent or too limited (mind you, I don't know how good Pavlenka is though), but it doesn't look like they were open and direct with him, not letting him know where he stands. Hope he does well in England or wherever else he goes, at 27 he still has quite a few years in him and given full support, could turn out a good keeper for the right club. Kainz will be the surprise package next season!
  7. Well that's not really surprising, is it? Wiedwald was always going to leave after not being given 100% support, and since Pavlenka's deal got wrapped up, it all went fast. It actually isn't official yet (Wiedwald's move to Leeds), so hopefully we are getting a bit more than that, but it doesn't look likely. Pizarro is the next to leave.
  8. Arrested on domestic abuse charges, questioned for a few hours, pleaded guilty, was released and will appear in court in September. Considering that this is reportedly a result of an argument between him and his ex-girlfriend about money, I'm pretty sure nothing significant will happen after they settle it out of court $$$$$
  9. Felix Wiedwald to Leeds is official now. And as usual, we're underselling. 500.000 for a decent keeper is nothing, especially for an English club.
  10. Jiri Pavlenka, Czech national goalkeeper, is joining us - the deal with Sparta Prague is officially confirmed now. Don't know what to make of this. On one hand, I hope we're getting a good goalie (and since he's Czech, keeping Drobny for one more year makes sense now), on the other hand, I feel that the club didn't really treat Wiedwald fairly. He'll probably be leaving now anyway.
  11. Ever since leaving Europe, I personally only care about Euro to USD exchange rate, to be fair. EU has/had both pros and cons, and I'd never consider any country to be "racist" for leaving it.
  12. Did Hamilton just ask for team orders?
  13. The Great Silence (Il grande silenzio) - 1968 I'm back to watching spaghetti westerns again, and chose Sergio Corbucci's magnum opus for tonight. Starring Jean-Louis Trintignant as a mute gunslinger and Klaus Kinski as a sadistic bounty hunter (both superb), it tells a dark tale of misery, greed, injustice and revenge in a small town during a freezing cold winter at the end of the 19th century. Very violent for it's time, it features a great score by Moriccone, socio-political background and probably the bleakest ending ever. One of the greatest westerns of all time, way too overlooked. 8.5/10

  15. Makes sense, as a while ago Brandt said he would like to stay in Leverkusen for at least one more season as he felt it was a bit too early to move to Bayern. With Ribery and Robben hanging the boots soon, this is a great signing. One of my favourite young players in the league.
  16. Audi quit WEC mostly because of the whole Dieselgate, didn't they?
  17. Toyota's complete breakdown was absolutely brilliant Corvette v Aston Martin dramatic battle for the 1st in GTE Pro until the very end was the most exciting part of the whole race though, really didn't think Chevrolet would let it slip away and they managed to fuck it up completely, lucky to finish at all.
  18. Werder v Bayern U17 final is currently live on Sport1.
  19. I haven't seen it, will give it a go now. Cheers!
  20. Me too, started on Sunday, hehe. Getting ready for the weekend!
  21. You're never too old to have your mother bake you a cake!!!!!
